One week ago, I bought a pheromone for my friend to help him get out of some nasty friend zone.

This Will Get You Out Of Friend Zone!

This is a follow up post on the progress and some interesting updates from Ned.

So, what happened in the past one week? According to Ned, he has followed my instructions to the letter and did not make any drastic changes to his behavior. He's to remain neutral and go about his usual routines.

Observation 1:

In the past, the ladies in Ned's office barely noticed his existence. After using the pheromone, he has somehow lost his invisibility hack. Most ladies start to engage him for conversation more proactively. 

Observation 2:

The ladies giggle and laugh when talking to him. This is definitely a good sign as it's not easy to force yourself to laugh at a dead man's joke. Ned for his life can't even tell a decent joke. I wonder what they were talking about that made the ladies laugh. Maybe they are excited with the discovery of a new species in the office.

Observation 3:

Physical contacts from the ladies. According to Ned, these are not accidental contacts but from a certain girl. She would make contact with Ned like grabbing his arm, leaning on him when laughing at his lame jokes, brushing shoulders and occasionally pinch him. That to me, is absofuckinglutely fantastic! However, if Ned is only getting special treatment from one girl, could the girl already be really interested in him in the first place but have not made the move until now? I'll need to interrogate him for more details. 

Observation 4:

Someone asked Ned out! Well, not for a date but sort of like asking him to walk her to the convenience store to buy some drinks. This again, is a winner. However, Ned turned her down because she's not his type. Looks like someone's getting cocky now. 

The Friend Zone:

Ok, now for the most important question- did the pheromone get Ned out of the friend zone? The answer is "No". He still failed to ask that one girl out for a date- The same girl that we discussed about in observation 3. The things Ned tells me almost doesn't add up. So, this girl seems to like Ned a lot and laughs at his dumb jokes; make many physical contacts with him. But refuses to go out with him on a date? 

To me, Ned is still in the friend zone. The pheromone helped him get noticed by the ladies. He may have gotten a date from some other girls if he chooses to. But in the end, the girls that friend zoned him still refuses to date him. 

Conclusion:

The objective of this experiment is to get Ned out of friend zone and possibly getting laid. The pheromone may have scored by making him more approachable by the ladies and perhaps some ONS (maybe)? But the psychology behind the friend zone is much more complicated than we anticipated. Is there such a thing as a friend zone? Hell yeah there is and Ned's story is a prime example of one. 

What's next?

For the benefit of mankind, the experiment must go on. This time, I have asked Ned to be slightly more flirtatious with that girl and respond more affectionately. I have also asked Ned to learn better jokes to see if that helps. Perhaps also try to make that girl jealous by paying more attention to other girls? 

We will find out more once we have more detailed updates from Ned next time. If you would like to participate in this experiment, please suggest what Ned can do to get out of that friend zone. And most importantly, help him get laid!
