Very interesting topic. I have a negative attitude towards abuse. Sometimes I curse myself, but I always scold myself for it. It always surprises me that people can not replace a bad word with a more pleasant one.

I personally rarely swear to offend people directly. But when the situation arises I certainly use colorful language.. I've real a lot over the course of my life - I have so many other words or expressions to use..
