2017 passed as calmly as possible in terms of seismic activity: only seven large earthquakes were recorded. But the author of the study, Roger Bilham, is sure that this is only a calm before the storm, and in 2018 there will be more than 25 of them.

Eruption of the supervolcano

The most deafening and terrifying cataclysm of 2018 is the eruption of the Yellowstone super-volcano, located in the west of the United States. In 2017, he demonstrated anomalous seismic activity. According to a study published in the journal Science Advances, the cause of cataclysms will be global warming.

The rise in temperatures will cause numerous storms and heavy rains, the number of which will increase from year to year, starting in 2018. Under the greatest impact will be such regions as Central Europe, Africa, Central and North America, India. Russia is less affected by the threat of floods.
