One Thing To Be Really Proud Of As A Steemian

in #life6 years ago

my humanity

Steemian, Steemer, Steemit writer or whatever! It's time to be fucking proud of yourself.

Just yesterday, I was talking to my friend again, the one I wrote about here

He recently dumped quite a sum of money into ETH and IOTA.

Then he said how he had mini-heart attacks everyday just looking at the graph. He's new to the world of crypto and so he's not used to the volatile nature of it.

Now, I am no veteran trader.

I am just a writer on Steemit.

That said, I've been 100% in profit, everyday.

With the help of the knowledge and articles here, I learn about trading.

I mentioned to my friend to check out Steem and SBD. I said again that there's an active community behind it and we're working on a bunch of cool shit.

He made the classic remark again, "But it's back by nothing tangible. No real product."

I honestly didn't know what to do reply.

After that, he and my other friend started talking about the likelihood of the world going totally cashless and with tokens running society.

In other words, they didn't believe it will happen anytime soon.

I didn't bother contributing to the conversation at that point.

Why?

It's just...

I am an artist true and through.

I believe humans make the world go around and that includes all our products, systems, technologies and infrastructures.

I believe that we're evolving as whole societies because our state of minds and our emotions make everything run.

I believe to survive and thrive, it's about being a human in the long-term.

Heck, I believe that even if we want to trade, we have to be human about it and not just look at the numbers, otherwise it's just gambling.

Steemit has provided that humanity.

One reason why I didn't want to contribute to the aforementioned conversation was that I know my lifestyle will be put into question again.

I've chosen the path of a entrepreneurial writer 6 years ago.

Should I talk about Steemit, I just know that people will think I am lazy or asking for realities that are too good to be true.

I am enjoying the rewards today, but it has become with hard work.

Many have been the days when I've written here to get less than a dollar in rewards.

That is part of giving a piece of my humanity back to humanity.

In which I struggle.

In which I persevere.

In which I don't give up.

It took a lot of writing, stepping up my courage to know the right people and constantly evolving to have a mindset ready to accept said rewards.

So whether you're member here as an artist or trader, you're already pretty awesome with all the pieces of humanity inside of you.

Thank you all.

"But it's back by nothing tangible. No real product."
I wouldn't know what to say either.

Great post @aldentan! Yes, and you should be proud of this post. It shows heart. It's hard not to want to shake people you care about when what you're sharing is so great. The best thing we can all do is succeed so others follow.

Or let them make their own mistakes so they can learn. At least I believe that way. Thanks for the comment!
