The problem for the liberal system is that people are deeply rooted in the paternalistic state system, that is, there are people who are born, live and die, depending on the state in some way, either by subsidies or by working for it. People are generally born under established conditions, taking advantage of the wealth that has been created by previous generations, and then demand "rights" that the state has to pay either through taxpayer money or indebted to the nation. The second problem faced by liberals (or libertarians) are interest groups, big lobbies. It seems to me that to make a substantial change in political and social life, the first thing to replace should be the financial system model, which although many think it is a capitalist system, it is not, it has a lot of control by central institutions.
