Power Of The Brick 2019 - Lego Show

in #lego5 years ago

One of the things I love about running a Bricklink Store is connecting with other Lego fans from all over the world, or even better, locally.

The great thing about the local customers is that I often get to see what they are building and where my parts end up. This weekend just gone was the debut of a new local Lego show called Power of the Brick, run by a couple of my regular customers.

As it clashed with Father's Day here in Australia, I had family commitments that meant I didn't get to spend as much time there as I would have liked, but I did pop along with my daughter for a look at what was on offer. We arrived for the last half hour of the show, so there were a couple of the more interactive exhibits that were already closed down, some due to the time it takes to break them down, and a couple because they were just worked too and replacement motors and battery supplies had been exhausted.

I did, however, snap a few photos for your enjoyment. All photos were taken (rather hastily) by my with myself Samsung mobile phone.

How sweet is that Millenium Falcon and Voltron???

This last photo is the exhibit that my 3 year old was most enamored with. It was an interactive display that the photo doesn't really do justice, but it was a machine that you sat a coin the play, flipped a switch and it sent the coin on a journey of conveyors and ramps until it dropped into a bucket at the end. Miss Ivy wouldn't move until she had put every single coin through the display.

I promise that I'll try to get some more photos at the next show I attend and even some better quality ones. Thanks for reading, and until next time "Play Well"

That Voltron is fantastic. Love the sea dragon, too.

I agree, the Sea Monster looks great. It doesn't show up in the photo very well, but the fisherman near his head had it on his line.

Lego Paradise.:)

I got that Voltron for my Son for his birthday. Took him a week to build but its pretty amazing!

I didn't realise it was a set; assumed it was a free build for some reason. Might have a look.

I'm keen to get it for myself. I always preferred the Vehicle Force Voltron, but the lions are just far too cool to pass up. How old is your son? Did he enjoy the build?
