Somewhere near Stirling

This picture "Somewhere near Stirling" is my entry to the "Cityscape Photography Contest" by @juliank and @photocontests and my entry to the "B&W Photo Contest" by @daveks.

I can't help it! There are simply too many beautiful motives in Scotland - today again a picture from Scotland! I took the picture from "Stirling Castle".

What do you think: church or old watchtower?

Ich kann es nicht lassen! Es gibt einfach zu viele schöne Motive in Schottland - heute also wieder ein Bild aus Schottland! Das Bild habe ich vom "Stirling Castle" aus aufgenommen.

Was denkt ihr: Kirche oder alter Wachturm?

    Kann natürlich auch sein dass der Turm dahin gesetzt wurde damit die Aussicht hübscher ist (auch wenn Stirling Castle ja lange Zeit kein herkömmlicher Adelssitz war. Vielleicht gibt's aber noch andere in der Gegen). So etwas war im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert durchaus üblich und gehörte zur "Gartengestaltung" ;)

    Beispiel: Schloss auf der Pfaueninsel - in der Sichtachse vom Marmorpalais. Nicht viel mehr als eine hübsche Fassade vorne mit nem kleinen Anbau mit ein paar Zimmern, falls man bei einem Bootsausflug mal Pause machen wollte.

      Eine Kirche macht eigentlich keinen Sinn so weit ab vom Schuss. Ein Wachturm doch eher.

      Wobei ich sagen muss, dass das gar nicht so weit ab vom Schuss ist. Schau mal hier bei Maps unter StreetView - da erkennst du in der Ferne den Turm:
