Tell your story #45 (A typical Saturday in a student's life)
It’s another time of the week to share moments with you. This time, it’s about the value in every second I got to spend today.
Hello everyone, I’m glad to share with you how my day went, and what a life of a student looks like on a typical Saturday. I want to thank @ruthjoe for another week of sharing our stories with each ither.
For most students, weekends are just days that should not end in a hurry.
The rest and comfort we feel need to be
experienced for a longer time, and that means
we need a day in between Mondays and Sundays just to rest.
Straight to the business of today, I had a lot of things on my table that needed to be taken care of. Thankfully, I did most of them. Since it’s Saturday, I got up a bit late, said my prayer, and went through the page I am managing for a brand to see if there was anything that needed my attention before leaving my bed.
It was time to set up my table already. The day had just started, but I felt I didn’t have enough time.
Drinking a bottle of water was a good way of starting the day.
Right after that, I took my laptop to make a post here. The plan was to make a post in the morning, but due to the invitation I had from my roommate for a programme, I couldn’t complete that post. We needed to prepare.
Since she wanted to polish her nails in the morning, we went straight into that. If I had the chance to learn another hard skill, it would be nail tech.
This was one way of having fun. The whole session was full of play, laughter, and jokes. I loved it, though.
The time we thought was still enough was what we later chased after.
Everything had to be done at the same time. In minutes, we were set for the programme, and we stepped out to learn, be imparted, and grow.
Acquiring knowledge is not just something that happens to me randomly. I intentionally seek for where I can acquire one, and I go for it. I think that’s one thing every young person needs. It might not show now, but the efforts will definitely pay off.
Being in church is an awesome experience to have. It was a class for ladies, and I would say I was refreshed, really.
One key thing that stood out to me was the fact that we must learn to mind our business.
This automatically helps us to look inward, see where we are lagging, invest more where we need to, and grow. It keeps us busy. It helps keep our heart and brain healthy.
If everyone could mind their business, focusing on their academics, career, skill, their future, or their family, we would have no haters or lazy people among us.
After the class, I took a few more shots with my roomie, and left for the hostel.
On getting to the hostel, I needed to send an article to someone. I did that before collapsing to my bunk.
The rest was much needed. I got up a few hours to complete my post for the day, stepped out to enjoy the cool breeze outside, and came back in for a little study.
This was how my day went. How did yours go?
Would like to invite @josepha, @rossnenye, and @ahbaz to participate in this contest.
Thanks for reading through.
