Coin Overview Series (1/1) Kucoin Shares (KCS)

Kucoin is an exchange based in Hong Kong, it has a very similar feel about it to Binance in regards to UI and user experience. They list a wide array of cryptocurrency’s currently up to 31 coins (nov15th2017), and are the first to list Neo’s ICO Red Pulse (RPX). In addition they are also the first exchange to add Neo/Gas and Neo/RPX Pairs.

Kucoin also has its own crypto currency known as Kucoin Shares (KCS), which is based on the Ethereum block chain (ERC 20 token).

Owning the KCS coin, has its advantages if you choose to trade on their exchange, these include but are not limited to:

• 50% of trading fees on the platform are shared to those holding KCS proportionately.
• You can reduce your own trading fees by holding KCS on your account.
• More Bonus’s around the KCS coin are likely to be added in the future
• Referral system where users can,earn up to 20% of trading fees of directly invited users.

It is also worth mentioning the trading fees are paid out daily, which makes a huge difference in terms of compound interest.

They have an aggressive promotion strategy as you can see from there twitter it’s a hive of constant activity. They also very keen to list new coins after ICO.

There is a total supply of 181 million coins with a circulating supply of 91 million. Kucoin have a buyback scheme similar to Binance, they will buy back KCS and burn them each quarter with 10% of the profits produced. This will lead to diminished supply over time, which should drive KCS price action.

The ATH was reached, when red pulse was added to the platform and the Neo/Gas and Neo/RPX pairs were added. It pumped to around $1 dollar, and has been declining since; it currently sits at around $.57 cents. There are many incentives to hold this coin, and I can only see it becoming more desirable as Kucoin continues to grow in popularity.
