Interestingly, Joseph clarifies the concept of the Star that guided the Magi to Jesus, and how they rejoiced upon sighting the star because of its rare significance.

More interestingly, we learn that Jesus was two years old when the Magi visited him. The fact remains that the star was a supernatural manifestation that guided the Magi. As astrologers, they knew how to read the sky and were aware of prophecies about the coming of the king of the world as prophesied by Daniel.
