A Portuguese man-of-war washed up on the beach and as dangerous as it is, it is still a amazing thing to look at. It just don't want to be bothered that's all. It just wants to float in the water and go with the flow. Then when it washes on the beach just take in the sun and chill, just look at this one don't he look relaxed. lol

Where did you see the Portuguese galley?
Be careful... torn tentacles still contain nettle cells. The nettle cells remain active for several days and dangerous when jellyfish are washed up on the beach. This was the first time I saw this jellyfish in Ibiza and Formentera.
On May 11, I also found a Portuguese galley on the beach in Ibiza.
I think there are more jellyfish in the Mediterranean this year than the years before.

Home waters of the Portuguese Galley of the Pacific ... but last year I heard that Bermuda is also affected. Meanwhile also Portugal and Spain. What scares me a bit ... to meet this jellyfish in the water ... the tentacles can grow up to 50 meters long .... as a swimmer you have no chance to see it in time. In Ibiza and Formentera, the water is also very clean and clear.
Yes Bermuda is affected, some days we literally have hundreds of these jellyfish washed up on land. Also I've seen one in the water while I was swimming and it almost touched my mother.
