"The World of Genius Hans by Moving Gelatine Plates"(1972)

in #jazz5 years ago

Moving Gelatine Plates is a French band founded by guitarist Gérard Bertram and bassist Didier Thibault in the late 60's. The band's style is located within the canterbury scene, becoming familiar with the sound of groups like Soft Machine (Third ) and Supersister (Present from Nancy). In short, the MGP musical proposal is a mixture between progressive music and jazz rock, with a strong dose of experimentation, avant-garde music and psychedelia. "The World of Genius Hans", is the band's second studio album, released in 1972. This particular work is a true gem of progressive music and avant-garde jazz, listening to this album is like traveling to a country where the language of music is the official language ... =)
