ベランダ菜園の野菜たち/Vegetables on my balcony.

5月の初旬に、家のベランダでミニトマトと「凜々子」というトマトを植えました。ミニトマトはあっという間に大きくなり、最初の実が育ち始めています。

This is the vegetables on my balcony.In the beginning of May, I planted mini tomatoes and "Ririko" tomatoes on the balcony of my house. Mini tomatoes quickly grow bigger, the first fruit is beginning to grow.

トマトを植えたことで、他の野菜の栽培にも興味が出てきたのですが…

本当に狭いベランダなので、あまり並べてしまうと洗濯物を干すスペースがなくなってしまいます。そこで、室内にあったステンレスラックをベランダへ持ってきて、そこに小さな鉢を載せて、小さな野菜を育ててみることにしました。

ラックの上の植木鉢には、シソとラディッシュの種を撒いてあります。

By planting tomatoes, I was also interested in raising other vegetables ...　But this is a really small balcony, so if I add more bowls, there will be no space to hang the laundry.So, I brought a stainless steel rack that was in the room to the balcony, put a small flowerpot there, and tried to grow small vegetables.I planted shiso and radish seeds in a flowerpot on the rack.

こちらが「凜々子」。加熱調理に向いているトマトだそうです。うち1鉢に、バジルを寄せ植えしてみました。トマトとバジルは「コンパニオンプランツ」と呼ばれ、成長を助け合うと言われています。

This is "Ririko". It is a variety suitable for heating cooking.I planted basil together in one of them. Tomatoes and basils are called "companion plants" and are going to help each other.

こちらのコンテナは、知人から頂いたものです。

その方は以前、これでゴーヤを育てようとしたけれど、うまく行かなかったそうです。私がベランダで野菜を育てているという話をしたところ、もう使わないからと譲ってくれました。

ここには、カボチャでも植えようかと思っています。

This container is from my friend.She tried to grow bitter gourd with this, but failed. As I talked about raising vegetables on the balcony she gave it to me that she does not use it anymore.I will plant a pumpkin here.
