Celebrating my grandfathers 92nd birthday!
Last weekend was my grandpa's birthday, he turned to 92 years old, since he became 90, he started saying I don't know how long I can live! I'm old I'm old.... but he enjoys drinking, still lives by himself and can do things on his own.
He likes to learn new things, so he still buys tons of books to read and study.
Also he joins many clubs like singing, cooking and dancing!
He is certainly enjoying his life, I think that is the key to live long!
So since it's his birthday, we invited him to my house and celebrate his special day together!
We always make this sign every time our family member has birthday XD This is little tradition in my house!

We did BBQ outside, with many seafood and meat.

Eating meat is the key to live long?
I was watching some documentary in other day, it was about how do we live long.
They were talking about very interesting fact, they had little survey to people who are older than 80 years old about what they eat.
They got interesting fact, people who live long tend to eat meat and enjoy eating meat.
In fact my grandfather enjoys eating meat, so I thought it was very interesting to watch.
Yet I am trying to avoid eating meat as much as I can...I wish they were not tasty but they are so yummy!

It was such a fun late lunch, all of my family member got together and my grandpa looked so happy, his smile means so much to us :)

My grandpa loves sweets and he buys chocolate bars to snack so we got my favorite chocolate cake for his birthday.
It was so good! Of course my grandpa ate the chocolate plate with "Happy Birthday Grandpa".
The candle 9 is from last year, so we are plan on using it for his 93rd birthday!

Today, I learned how to say "Happy Birthday" in Japanese! ใใ่ช็ๆฅใใใงใจใ๏ผใ
I'd love to know the title of the documentary you're referencing... I don't think any western documentary would have anything that positive to say about eating meat these days. When western nutritionists look at longevity nowadays, they tend to point to the Blue Zones where people tend to live the longest and stress the "plant-based diet" that people have in those regions.
ummm I can not remember but there were several documentaries that shows that people who lives long time eats meat several times a week!
I think their diets are balanced by eating fish, veges and meat.
Often japanese people stop eating meat when they get old, but the survey showed that old people who lives long loves eating meat.
I believe that only eating meat is not good.
So only eating meat everyday is not a key to live long.
There are several opinions, yet that's how they found out when they took survey to people who are actually living long and healthy. I will let you know when I found out the name of documentaries :)

I always wanted to have a fishing trip and go to a beach once. Except we did that by the river.

That cake is mouthwatering :D And all the sea food are yummy. I have never tried grilling Scallops. I see them in the market, but got no idea how to prepare them. Now thats the plan for this weekend. Would try to grill them with butter, garlic and soy sauce :D
