RE: Lo smog mette il turbo alla malattia dell'Alzheimer/Smog turbocharges Alzheimer's disease [MULTILANGUAGE]

in Italy8 months ago

Hello @mikitaly This is both worrying and eye opening. We often think of air pollution only in terms of respiratory or cardiovascular health but this study shows how deeply it can affect the brain too especially in conditions like Alzheimer’s. The link between smog and the worsening of neurodegenerative diseases underlines how urgent it is to tackle pollution not just for the environment but also for human health and dignity in aging. Research like this should push policymakers to take stronger action because clean air truly is a form of prevention.

It would be nice if our governments did something for our own good. But there are too many economic interests, and fighting pollution is now truly difficult and expensive. And unfortunately, our countries have skyrocketing public debt.

You’re absolutely right. Governments should prioritize people’s well being, but economic interests often take the lead. It’s really sad that public debt and expenses make it harder to fight pollution effectively.
