La foto che ho pubblicato e' estremamente interessante.
Si evince che nei paesi mediterranei; Italia, Spagna, Grecia e Croazia i giovani bivaccano in casa dei genitori fino ai 30 anni e oltre.
Nel nord Europa poco dopo i ventanni se ne vanno per conto loro, nell'est europeo siamo oltre i 25 anni, in Russia 24, Francia, Germania e Gran Bretagna prima dei 25.

Credo che 30 anni per l'Italia sia una stima prudente, secondo me siamo ben oltre.
Perche' queste differenze?
Lasciamo stare il discorso dei mammoni che comunque ha un suo perche', il giovane italiano se puo' va a vivere nello stesso palazzo dei genitori, l'islandese in una citta' differente.
Possiamo anche dire che le famiglie stesse nel nord Europa spingono i ragazzi a muovere il culo, costruirsi una vita autonoma, da noi c'e' sicuramente una sorta di protezione eccessiva, quasi a non volerli lasciare andare.

Poi c'e' il discorso economico, noi boomer di oggi dopo il militare, con un lavoro potevamo permetterci di fare una scelta che oggi e' diventata complicata.
In Italia e Spagna i costi degli affitti sono decisamente alti in comparazione con stipendi decisamente bassi.
Se un giovane va in banca a chiedere un mutuo o ci va con genitori molto solvibili o gli ridono dietro.
I salari in Germania per chi inizia a lavorare sono il doppio di quelli italiani e la vita non costa certo il doppio.

I miei andarono a vivere insieme con mia madre che aveva 17 anni ed io in arrivo e mio padre 22, oggi sarebbe ancora possibile?
Non credo.
Quindi da un lato la predisposizione dei latini a staccarsi da casa il piu' tardi possibile rispetto ai nordici, ma dall'altra anche la difficolta' di trovare un reddito che garantisca la possibilita' almeno di sopravvivere.
Alla peggio c'e' la mamma che riempie il frigo e lava i calzini.

It's clear that in Mediterranean countries—Italy, Spain, Greece, and Croatia—young people camp out at their parents' homes until they're 30 or older.
In Northern Europe, they leave in their early twenties; in Eastern Europe, it's over 25; in Russia, 24; and in France, Germany, and Great Britain, it's under 25.

I think 30 is a conservative estimate for Italy; in my opinion, it's well beyond that.
Why these differences?
Let's leave aside the "mummy's boy" thing, which has its reasons: young Italians, if they can, go live in the same building as their parents; Icelanders, in a different city.
We can also say that families themselves in Northern Europe push young people to get moving and build an independent life. In our country, there's certainly a sort of overprotectiveness, almost as if they don't want to let them go.

Then there's the economic issue. We boomers today, after serving in the military, could afford to make a choice with a job that has become complicated today.
In Italy and Spain, rent costs are decidedly high compared to decidedly low salaries.
If a young person goes to the bank to ask for a mortgage, either they go with very solvent parents or they're laughed at.
Wages in Germany for those starting out are double those in Italy, and life certainly isn't twice as expensive.

My parents moved in together with my mother, who was 17, me on the way, and my father, 22. Would that still be possible today?
I don't think so.
So, on the one hand, there's the Latino predisposition to leave home as late as possible compared to Nordics, but on the other, there's also the difficulty of finding an income that guarantees at least a survival opportunity.
At worst, there's the mother who stocks the fridge and washes the socks.
