And here we are, finally on the road to Iceland, after a day spent fighting against the backpacks that did not want to accept into them all we thought to bring. In the end, we had to leave behind something and... After having watched at our bags for a long time, we came to the conclusion that we could leave at home some sweatshirts and some trousers, but certainly not the coffee pot with respective coffee and 2 kg of taralli made in home. Using a certain amount of violence we were able to close the backpacks, and a big thank you goes to the girl of Ryanair's baggage allowance, who kindly closed her eyes in front of almost 5 kg more of merchandise.

But coming to us... This morning the alarm clock ranged at 3.30, and shortly after we were in the car, heading to the airport of Orio al Serio (BG). Takeoff scheduled at 6.35 and carried out at 6.45 with a few minutes delay, just as the sun peeked out from behind the Lombard mountains.

Landing at 9.30 in Copenhagen and first field test... After depositing the heaviest baggage in the lockers of the airport, we loaded 12 kg each on our shoulders (from tomorrow they will be 26), and we explored the city far inland covering about 30 km on foot. Shoulders, legs and feet have suffered badly, but it was a great workout for the coming days, and allowed us to discover a wonderful city.

We left in the morning from the Christiania area, a partially self-managed neighborhood where it is not possible to take pictures, then to move along the city guided only by the curiosity to reach from time to time places that most affected our sight... Without a destination or a precise itinerary. To then return, exhausted, to the airport, camp (or something like that) for the night, waiting for the flight that tomorrow will take us to Iceland.

Spaghetti on the road - Islanda (o quasi), DAY#1

Ed eccoci qua, finalmente sulla strada per l'Islanda, dopo una giornata passata imprecando contro gli zaini che non ne volevano sapere di accettare al loro interno tutto quello che pensavamo di portare.
Alla fine abbiamo dovuto rinunciare a qualcosa e... Dopo aver a lungo fissato i nostri bagagli, siamo giunti alla conclusione che potevamo rinunciare a qualche felpa e a qualche pantalone, ma non certo alla caffettiera con rispettivo caffè e ai 2 kg di taralli fatti in casa. Ricorrendo ad una certa dose di violenza siamo quindi riusciti a chiudere gli zaini, e un sentito ringraziamento va alla ragazza dell'accettazione bagagli di Ryanair, che ha gentilmente chiuso gli occhi davanti ai quasi 5 kg in più di mercanzia.

Ma venendo a noi... Questa mattina la sveglia è suonata alle 3,30, e poco dopo eravamo in macchina, diretti verso l'aeroporto di Orio al Serio (BG). Decollo previsto alle 6,35 ed effettuato alle 6,45 con qualche minuto di ritardo, proprio mentre il sole faceva capolino da dietro i monti lombardi.

Atterraggio alle 9,30 a Copenaghen e primo test sul campo.. . Dopo aver depositato il bagaglio più pesante nei lockers dello scalo, ci siamo caricati 12 kg ciascuno sulle spalle (da domani saranno 26), e abbiamo esplorato in lungo in largo la città percorrendo circa 30 km a piedi. Spalle, gambe e piedi ne hanno risentito pesantemente, ma è stato un ottimo allenamento in vista dei prossimi giorni, e ci ha permesso di scoprire una città meravigliosa.

Siamo partiti in mattinata dalla zona di Christiania, quartiere parzialmente autigestito all'interno del quale non è possibile fare foto, per poi muverci lungo la città guidati unicamente dalla curiosità di raggiungere di volta in volta quello che più colpiva la nostra vista... Senza una meta o un itinerario preciso.
Per poi tornare, sfiniti, verso l'aeroporto, accampati alla belle e meglio per la notte, in attesa del volo che domattina ci porterà verso l'Islanda.
