La foresta dei suicidi - Suicide Forest [IT-EN]

In Giappone, ai piedi del Monte Fuji (富士山) si trova la foresta di Aokigahara (青木ヶ原), conosciuta anche come Jukai (樹海) ed è famosa per l'altissimo numero di suicidi che ne avvengono all'interno, tristissima la fama che si porta dietro dal 1950, anno nel quale si sono verificati 30 suicidi, fino ad arrivare al 2003 dove il numero dei morti è arrivato addirittura a 130, da quell'anno vista l'ascesa dei tragici eventi il governo ha smesso di diffondere pubblicamente le statistiche per cercare di non danneggiare troppo l'immagine del posto, per far sì che non venga associata esclusivamente a questi misfatti, statistiche che a quanto pare sono purtroppo rimaste costanti.

Questo luogo sembra incantato, basta vedersi una breve carrellata di immagini su internet per farsi un'idea di quant'è bello ed intrigante questo posto che si trova attaccato alla parte nord-occidentale del vulcano, che è anche la montagna più alta della nazione (3.776 m).

Il suo interno è caratterizzato da rocce laviche, caverne di ghiaccio, alberi e arbusti molto fitti, i quali frenano il vento e la trasformano in un luogo particolarmente silenzioso. Ai suoi confini si possono trovare cartelli che invitano le persone a meditare profondamente prima di commettere certe azioni fatali, con su scritto frasi come questa:

La tua vita è un dono prezioso dei tuoi genitori. Pensa a loro e al resto della tua famiglia. Non devi soffrire da solo.

Mi viene da chiedermi come questo tipo di frasi, seppur profonde e veritiere, possano sortire effetto su chi abbia deciso di effettuare un tale gesto estremo e in quanto tale, davvero difficile come impresa da riuscire a distoglierne l'intento.

Il maggior numero di suicidi avvengono nel mese di marzo, mese che corrisponde alla fine dell'anno fiscale Giapponese, riconducendoli dunque a ragioni economiche.

Altra domanda che mi viene in mente è come certe persone possano essere affascinate da questo posto che porta dietro di se una fama tutt'altro che solare, nonostante questa foresta sia meta per molti escursionisti, ciclisti e avventurieri visto la tipologia di vegetazione.

Sono venuto a conoscenza di questo luogo ancora una volta grazie al programma TV Dark Tourist, dove viene sottolineato il fatto che parecchi visitatori della foresta si addentrino in essa esclusivamente per il suo "lato oscuro" e vadano in cerca di indizi come cappi, corde di vario genere o bottigliette di vetro, se non addirittura di cadaveri.

Negli ultimi anni i metodi più usati per togliersi la vita sono stati impiccagione e overdose da farmaci.

Ora io, da amante della vita, mi chiedo che senso abbia tutto questo, non riuscirò mai a comprendere cosa spinga le persone a togliersi la vita anzitempo e di spontanea volontà, naturalmente non avendo vissuto la loro vita e le conseguenti esperienze non potrò mai capirlo, sono comunque fermamente convinto che la vita vada vissuta al meglio anche quando si incontrino periodi davvero oscuri, come disse tempo fa' un personaggio televisivo certamente più saggio del sottoscritto:

This place seems enchanted, you can just look quickly the internet images to get an idea of ​​how beautiful and intriguing this place that's attached to the north-western part of the volcano, which is also the highest mountain's nation (3.776 m).

Is characterized inside by lava rocks, ice caves, thick trees and shrubs, which stop the wind and turn it into a particularly silent place. At its borders can be found signs that invite people to meditate deeply before committing certain fatal actions, with phrases like this one:

Your life is a precious gift from your parents. Think about them and the rest of your family. You don't have to suffer alone.

It makes me wonder how these kind of sentences, although profound and truthful, can have effect on those who have decided to make such an extreme gesture, and for that it's really difficult to be able to distract their intent.

The highest number of suicides usually happens in March, the month that corresponds to the end of the Japanese fiscal year, leading them back to economic reasons.

Another question that comes to mind is how certain people can be fascinated by this place that it's far from a sunnyreputation, despite this forest is a destination for many hikers, cyclists and adventurers seen the type of vegetation.

I know this place once again thanks to the TV program Dark Tourist, where it's illustrated the fact that many visitors of the forest go into it exclusively for its "dark side" and go in search clues such as noose, different ropes or glass bottles, or even dead bodies.

In recent years, the most used methods of suicide have been hanging and drug overdose.

I'm a life lover and I 'm searching to understand the meaning of this, I will for sure never understand what think the people that take their life prematurely and spontaneously, naturally not having lived their lives and the consequent experiences I will never be able to understand it, however I am firmly convinced that life should be lived to the best possible way even when living really obscure periods, as he said long time ago a television character surely wiser than me:
