E' una pianta grassa di facile coltivazione e propagazione, adatta molto a riempire ciotole. Il fusto cresce ramificato presentando i punti di giuntura molto delicati, durante i travasi infatti è sempre una mattanza...
Questo chiaramente è un metodo di propagazione sviluppato nel corso degli anni, cosi facendo le parti staccate cascano a terra e daranno vita a nuove piantine e al continuo della specie.
Le spine sono abbastanza morbide e crescono in senso radiale, possono essere tranquillamente toccate, ad eccezione di qualche spina apicale ben appuntita e rigida.
