Project: "Granellino" | Progetto: "Granellino"

ENG - A few weeks ago I was contacted by an elementary school teacher, a dear friend of mine. He paints beautiful acrylics in his spare time and so he heard that one of his colleagues was looking for someone to illustrate a book. Not being interested he has thought to put me in touch with this teacher and author (she has already published other books) and the collaboration has started. I am very happy with this opportunity because it's the first time I work on a story that will be published! The initial investment is entirely at the expense of the author and since the budget is limited I asked for the opportunity to present an exclusive preview of the drawings on Steemit. She agreed, then I start to introduce you what it is!

ITA - Qualche settimana fa sono stato contattato da un docente di scuola elementare, un mio caro amico. Lui dipinge dei bellissimi soggetti ad acrilico nel tempo libero e così gli è giunta voce che una sua collega era in cerca di qualcuno per illustrare un libro. Non essendo interessato ha pensato di mettermi in contatto con questa docente ed autrice (ha già pubblicato altri libri) ed è partita la collaborazione. Sono molto contento di questa opportunità perché la prima volta che lavoro su una storia che verrà pubblicata. L'investimento iniziale è interamente a carico della docente ed essendo il budget limitato ho chiesto la possibilità di presentare in anteprima esclusiva i disegni su Steemit. Si è detta d'accordo quindi inizio a presentarvi di cosa si tratta!

Fun and teaching | Divertimento e insegnamento

ENG - I found the story very well studied and with a great message that speaks about change, courage and collaboration. This obviously gave me a boost! In short, the story is about a small grain of sand that lives safely in its sea cave. But a storm takes him offshore into the immense sea. He find a safe and dry shelter even if he doesn't understand where it is atii first. After a while, he wakes up and realizes that someone has taken care of him and turned into a beautiful pearl ready to face the open sea!

ITA - Ho trovato la storia davvero ben studiata e con un messaggio non scontato che parla dei cambiamenti, del coraggio e della collaborazione. Questo ovviamente mi ha dato una spinta! In breve la storia parla di un piccolo granello di sabbia che vive al sicuro nella sua grotta marina. Una tempesta lo porta però al largo nell'immenso mare. Trova un rifugio sicuro e asciutto anche se non capisce bene dove si trova all'inizio. Dopo un bel po' di tempo si sveglia e si rende conto che qualcuno si era preso cura di lui in quel periodo turbolento e di essersi trasformato in una bellissima perla pronta ad affrontare il mare aperto!

ENG - After discussing with the author about the style and the images I started with some tests and at the end I launched my proposals. Five tables and the cover in total. Below I present the sketches of the first three illustrations.

ITA - Dopo aver discusso con l'autrice sullo stile e le immagini sono partito con diverse prove e alla fine ho lanciato le mie proposte. In tutto si tratta di cinque tavole e la copertina, qui di seguito vi presento gli schizzi delle prime tre illustrazioni.
