Investment Ep. 23 - Global Net Lease (GNL)

in #investment6 years ago

Global Net Lease (GNL) is a REIT company that have properties that are in the United States, Puerto Rico, Europe and the UK.

U.S.A and Puerto Rico 49.2%
Continental Europe 28.2%
UK 22.5%

GNL has a strong balance sheet. The assets are almost double the liabilities. This is quite an excellent balance sheet considering other REIT companies that I have checked out. 2016 is the first year that has been profitable in the last three years 2014 to 2016.

GNL's Profits (Loss):
2014 ($53,594)
2015 ($2,065)
2016 $47,140

Global Net Lease is new to paying out a monthly dividend they only started in late 2015. It doesn't have the history behind it like many of the other REIT companies like Realty Income (over 20 years of paying dividends). But I think that Global Net Lease is here to stay and the stock right now is cheap. I'm looking to buy some GNL before I buy other stocks. It has a dividend rate of over 9%. Anything that is less than $22/share of GNL is cheap, anything that is between $22 to $25 is OK, and anything above $25 I would be less likely to buy. Their current monthly dividend payout is $0.177/share. Their shares are at $18.48 from last Friday (1/26/2018). I'm putting this one on my watchlist.

Thanks for reading, I hope that you guys have a wonderful day!
