compounding Buildteam Tokens for Passive Income
We are all initial investors here on Steem. Either with our time or with money (fiat or crypto)
Late 2017 I got to know @Buildteam through @reggaemuffin and @thecryptodrive and their blogs.
Back then I got the chance to participate in the last of their token auctions before they moved everything to Bitshares. So I took my Buildteam tokens and staked them. And then I kind of forgot about them for a while. I did see the Steem land in my account every 1st and 15th of the month but that was about it.
And about a year later I realised that those roughly 120 tokens had already brought roughly 200 Steem into my account.
This was a real passive income stream.
So I took it upon myself to not only look a little more closer at what Buildteam are doing but also to make the token compound interest. I have a diversified crypto portfolio but one of my biggest holdings is in Steem. If you check my wallet then you can see that I have around 3700 dollars worth of Steem and then you will also see that I am not crypto rich.
Now every time when the gains from the buildteam tokens enter my Steem Wallet I just send them on over to my Bitshares account and buy more Buildteam tokens. This has allowed me to go from 0.2% to 0.531% of all distributed tokens.
Since all of crypto is a long term game and I have no plans to start living off Steem revenue any time soon I will just keep buying more tokens with the revenue they pay out.
I do not know if this is a smart move , only time will tell.
I do know that I have met some of the Buildteam members at Steemfest3 and I know they are dedicated to building out this company. They also not just focused on Steem but also have masternodes running on other blockchains and I know they are doing things on EOS as well. So this not only brings that revenue on Steem but even diversifies the income a bit and generates value for the Steem Blockchain
For the moment the tokens are at around 6 BTS so that makes 0.3 dollar per.
My 400 tokens made around 7.5 steem at 0.5 dollar in the last 2 weeks
so 3.75 dollars make 12 more Buildteam tokens and 3.5% per 2 weeks, how crazy is that revenue??
But this is just at current prices. They are cheap right now and it could be a nice added income for anyone looking long term, or the whole thing could go bust but I choose to have this trust.

Since many of us need to look to the future without neglecting this present opportunity, I can say that the buildteam team gives its best effort above the maximum of normal to take to the top in terms of profitability.

And @Reggaemuffin and @felander - well I set up a bitshares account, sent a test amount of BTC through using crypto bridge, it didn't arrive, went through the discord help, was told by cryptobridge i needed to login using their wallet app which I did so I could accept TOC so they can deal with my ticket, but i can't accept their TOC because it won't let me without ticking the 'I'm a US citizen' box'. I'm not a U.S. citizen.
Any further ideas about how I can actually make this work? I'm fairly sure neither of you are U.S. Do I need to use a different bridge to send my BTC through?

I went through bitshares at the time, but its a while back, maybe some stuff changed
It went through after that, now i have some BTS!
And they say steem has an onboarding problem, they have no idea!
I just use blocktrades to get steem exchanged to BTS and it sends it automatically to my account. Then I go from there, buy buildteam and RVN etc
We will be having our token dual listed on Steem-engine and Bitshares. We are planning a bridge between the two platforms.
Please let me know when I can buy these on Steem-Engine.

Currently BUILDTEAM has been registered on Steem-Engine as a placeholder, only once we have a bridge to Bitshares can we start a market on Steem-Engine. Currently you can obtain BUILDTEAM tokens from https://wallet.bitshares.org

its a bit confusing in the beginning especially with the extra step to stake the coins but once you get the hang of it, its doable

At 0.3 usd per token, x 400, that means you've pad 130 usd, and it pays 30 steem a month?
30 steem is worth say $15 (easymath), so you have an ROI of like ~10%
Not bad.
But what would happen if you bought steem instead? $130 equals 260 steem which would give you an upvote of like 0.01 cent once a day... So that sucks.

Yip returns are pretty cool and as our services gain traction and earn more profit the stakeholders will earn more too, so you can directly influence your holdings by using any of the services listed on https://buildteam.io and on https://apps.buildteam.io. If the STEEM or Bitshares price goes up, our users benefit too. So we are hedging on Bitshares, STEEM and now Worbili too when we start earning an income there.

it pays 15 steem a month right now. and the price used to be a bit higher. So I guess I paid a bit more though. hence the roughly 5% per month right now and that is amazing plus it can compound
I concur with this as I also got involved a couple of months ago and have been happy with the results! I am actually thinking of getting some more if I get the chance.

Just a disclosure we are no longer pursuing EOS, it wasn’t viable, however we have been accepted as a backup block producer on the Worbili network and hence will provide an additional hedged income source. All our distributions are currently settled in STEEM so ultimately the Steem community benefits.

Well I followed the comments and set up a bitshares account as recommend by @reggaemuffin, but now I have NO IDEA how to actually buy BTS. I think I transferred some BTC over but I can't actually locate it anywhere. Only a tiny test amount.
Guess I'm gonna have to read up, but no time for two or three days!
If you transfered BTC onto any of the bridges, you will get f.e. OPEN.BTC that you can then trade against BTS. Another way would be to go to blocktrades.ui and buy BTS there directly.

yea, Bitshares is a bit confusing in the beginning but it's a true decentralised exchange. But I usually use blocktrades from steem. that is really convenient. Good to have you on board :-)

Although the test BTC I sent yesterday from bittrex still hasn't arrived in my bitshares account (it should appear as open btc apparently) - how long does it normally take?
I've been meaning to take some time and get some tokens and now seems as good a time as any. I was going to wait until they were listed on Steem-engine, but looks like I just may want to bite the bullet and get some from an exchange.
