An adventure beyond a video game | Journey | Gaming Review
Journey, an adventure video game released in March 2012 for the PS3 console and years later it arrives to PS4 and PC. Developed by Thatgamecompany, Journey tells us an adventure in which perhaps you are the protagonist or not?
We will start the journey with a character who appears out of nowhere, dressed in a red suit and in a desert. We can only walk and walk and this is where many questions begin to arise: Who is this character? Why this mountain? Why does he not run? And many others. As you advance, you realize that there are strips of cloth with which you can interact, but you notice that the character has like a tail formed by these strips that when it shines, allows you to jump.

We continue to advance through a desert into the unknown, only seeing a mountain in the distance that you assume is where you should go. As you advance, you discover interesting things: ruins, symbols, sounds and more that will make you curious and yes, add more questions to your list. It won't be long before you see the first video sequence of the game. You will connect somehow with white beings that will tell you a story, without dialogues, we will only see images and sounds that you will have to interpret.

These sequences will show you the beginning of something, you will learn more about the character and it is said that you will even get to connect with yourself. After each of these sequences, we will arrive at a new area, where we will solve puzzles to continue discovering more about this curious character and what seem to be the ruins of a great civilization.

Journey allowed you to live an adventure, I could even say a race where you will want to know what and why of things. An adventure of no more than 8 hours of play that, when you start it, you won't stop. The game music is perfect, mixed with sounds that will activate your senses and allow you to connect with this unique character.

As you advance, you will notice certain elements (I don't want to spoil it) that will make you think and as you reach the end of the game, the suspense, adrenaline, love, sadness and magic are present. The ending leaves you with a taste of reflection, a feeling of starting over, rising up and moving on with life. Although I must say that this was for me, many players have had other perspectives on the ending as it seems that you are part of the game so it is up to you.

If you really want to live a real adventure, full of graphic elements with succulent details, a soundtrack that touches the heart and a deep story, Journey is definitely the game you're looking for. Without exaggerating, it's a 10/10 game.
