FEAR-LOVE-UNDERSTANDING
Scenario:
It’s 11 PM, you’re on a two lane black top road and you come
To a traffic light, it’s red.
So you stop.
There is NO other traffic, and even though you can see in all directions…
You sit, and
You wait,
30 seconds become five minutes.
Still no other traffic.
And you sit and wait more.
QUESTION: are you sitting there, alone on the highway at a red
Traffic light because you;
A. UNDERSTAND the reason for the law that says you must stop?
B. FEAR being apprehended for breaking the law?
C. Have been Indoctrinated to OBEY the rules without question?

Scenario:
You have come home late,
Your Father has waited up to confront
You.
He is perturbed that you have disregarded his rules again.
He points out that you have done this before, and it caused you
Grief and pain, even made you sick.
He grounds you once more.

QUESTION: Do you obey him because you;
A. UNDERSTAND that your Father has experience in life, which
Has guided his setting these boundaries?
B. FEAR being punished if you disobey once more?
C. LOVE your Father and you do not wish to cause him pain,
FEAR losing your place in his heart and home, UNDERSTAND that
He is acting out of love for you, and hopes for your future?

So, when we are adults; thinking, reasoning adults, who can see
In all directions that there is no traffic and it is safe,
Should we not
Be able to make the determination to go through the red light,
Figuratively speaking?
Should we not be able to throw off the indoctrination, the
Canalized Thought Processes and
Choose for ourselves which directions we
Should step out?
Choose for ourselves what we believe, with
Reason and Logic, Love and Understanding as our Guide?

Is there light at the end of this tunnel?
Methinks there is,
But only if we are allowed to use our minds.
Train yourself
To THINK for yourself.
