Introducing Bazz – the multitalented specialist

Hello fellow steemians (forgive me, if I haven’t used the right term!)

It feels really good to be here. I am Onyekachi; in case that feels too hard for you to pronounce, then you can call me Bazz. Over the years I have assumed many nicknames, in fact, I can’t even remember all of them.
I joined Steemit towards the end of last month – a friend had introduced the great platform to me, so, I thought it would be good to check it out. I am a multitalented specialist, and I feel Steemit is a great platform for me to meet and share my wealth of ideas with others.

I bought a guitar

IMG_20150327_162550.jpg
In 2010, while I was waiting to secure admission into the university, I saved up money and bought a guitar. I bought the guitar at the expense of buying Christmas clothes for it was towards Christmas. Every day I would lock up myself inside my room learning to play one or two notes. After many months of trial and error, I learned to play basic notes and chords on the guitar. Today, I can’t boast that I am a great guitarist, but I can at least play Nigerian highlife proficiently. Because of my love for the bass guitar, though I have switched to the lead guitar now, people gave me the name, “Bazz.”

I am a singer (only in the bathroom)

Apart from playing the guitar, I also love to sing. I used to sing in the church band when I was still a Christian. I am an atheist now. I still sing today; in fact, my bathroom time is usually a great singing session.

I started a blog in 2013

In 2013, I stayed back in school while almost all the students had gone home for a two weeks break. The school internet became incredibly faster since the number of people using it had greatly reduced. There was also constant electricity. Every day, I would stay indoor streaming movies and music online. One day, it struck me that I could do better with the fast internet and constant electricity (in Nigeria, electricity is a major issue.) Consequently, I started an entertainment blog. I didn’t have anyone to guide me aright, so after several months, I abandoned the blog.

A run-away programmer

After I abandoned my blog, I took to computer programming. I had started learning how to design basic static web pages when I was in the first year. I wanted to go deeper, so, I went for PHP. After some weeks of learning, I was already doing some cool stuff. I built a mini dating site, even though I never hosted it online. It remained on my localhost. As many students returned to the campus, internet speed reduced greatly, and electricity returned to normal. Hence, I abandoned my programming. That same period, I had fallen ill, the sickness also contributed to making me drop programming as I found it difficult concentrating.
Many people have told me that I am multitalented – I know it. At least, for a single person to be a guitarist, a former programmer, a writer, a singer (only in the bathroom) and so many other hidden talents, it is not easy.
I don’t like talking about my family online, so I won't mention my family here. Overall, I have a great family.
Recently, I became interested in cryptocurrency. As a non-fiction writer, I have helped a lot of clients write books on cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology. I would be sharing a lot of my experiences on cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology as a whole on this platform.

I have a YouTube channel

Did I mention that I have a YouTube channel where I teach people how to play Nigeria Highlife music? Yes, check it out here (https://www.youtube.com/onyiibazz). Did I also say that I have been a member of many local band groups in my small town somewhere in Nigeria? I have toured so many small villages and towns in Nigeria playing the guitar. I would be sharing a lot of experiences here.
Currently, I work as a freelance nonfiction writer. I wish to save a lot of money and diversify my portfolio. I desire to return to programming one day.
My passion is to sleep, wake up, eat, bath, and repeat, with no work in-between but with a lot of free money. I also love photography, and I am a proud promoter of the African culture.
I would be sharing more later.

Please follow me, upvote my post, and resteem, and comment if you like my introduction post. (Please, forgive me if I haven't gotten the terms correctly. I am still learning.)

Greets! :) Check out @dtube and @dsound for your future contributions as an artist ;)

I will definitely check @dtube out. Hopefully, it will be more accepting of small people like us, unlike YouTube that is chasing away the lean guys with their latest policies.
