WE are the Change we have been Waiting for...a BIG shout out to all my fellow steemies!

HI there steemitland..it truly IS a privilege to meet you all.

Even if we are meeting here in cyberspace, this virtual place ...we are all, at some level, connecting and MEETING!

Meeting often comes GREETING, so this is my personal greeting to all my fellow steemites, all you wondrous writers, photographers, crypo currency commentators, creatives, "conspiracy" dot connectors, travellers, eco warriors, anarchists, funsters and all!

I have been on here just over a week now, steeming away, writing, reading, and thinking....and wowsers!! What a bright bunch you are all! Clever insightful, wickedly funny, questioning and curating content at the highest levels. It's refreshing and enlightening to actually READ again...really read and dive into well researched, beautifully written articles about subjects steemies are passionate about. During this week you've made me think, and blink, often considering news and views that are "out of the box", in the box, or even on the box (TV)!

So what's my impression after a short week on steemit?

We are a happy few, here at the beginning of things (although some of us, like me, might even be considered late to the party) but we are here...we made it through the hoop jumping to open our accounts, we wrote a first post, got our first upvotes, we kept the circle going by upvoting others, we wrote our first comments, received some back, followed and were followed in return.

Then we wrote another post, and another and away we went steeming along...on this great (block) train journey where we had successes, and admired the ones that went before us on this pioneering platform. Yes, all you Whales and Dophins I am in awe...and just how'd you do what you dun??? It's a kind of magic, like style...you've either got it, or you haven't, no doubt backed up by hours of persistent and determined effort. But we gotta start somewhere, right? And yes, we newbies will make mistakes too...

...Sadly my first post about the need to create connections with artificial intelligence had no images, because it took me a bit longer to figure how to add pictures to my pieces...what can I say? I'm a middle aged hippy not a technochick! But I got there in the end. And just where is the elusive 'edit post' button??? Why can't we edit the post once it's "live" because, to be fair, we ALL do typos and then we often miss them in our eagerness to share.

But you know what??? We did it! You did it, and I did too. Yay us!

And now in lilgolightly style it's time we dredged a little deeper...by now as my small band of followers will know, I am not one for shallows...so let's dive in shall we?

With each upvote, with each comment, with each article we write, or resteem, we are widening the community circle, creating the so called Ripple Effect...graphically represented in this 26 second vid...

With every word we share here we are actively engaging in the success of this site where we have a platform to promote ideas, thoughts, expansions in consciousness, from trips down memory lane to rocket ships warp speeding into the future, sharing more than just our lives, our hopes, dreams, and schemes.

We are planting the seeds of change with every tap of the keys, every thought we cultivate has the ability to grow in soils we may never know, affecting more than our eyes may ever see.

And that, dear friends and followers, is one BIG thought...one huge pebble lobbed into a still pool...one mighty tidal wave that may be "Butterfly Effect" ing throughout the known reaches of this boundless universe that we know and love and out, out into the vast wild blue yonder...

So as I write today I do so in the spirit of true gratitude, because here I am and here YOU are...in a conscious intelligent community, learning, growing, evolving, day to day, and it is MY privilege to meet all of you! Because, dear ones, WE are the CHANGE we have been waiting for...WE are the pioneers plumbing the depths, and blazing trails for others to follow. And as we do so, let's remember to tread lightly, with humble respect for each intelligence, each soul, we encounter.
