The not so short introduction to Evilhippie

Hello Everybody. I have been on Steemit for a little more than a month and I am thoroughly enjoyin myself so far. I was introduced to it by @katharsisdrill and he has been kind enough to introduce me and be my "patron" so far. Go check out his profile im pretty sure you wont be disappointed.
My first post here was a short introduction to myself, but since then, I have discovered how to make a proper introduction the steemit way, so I am going to give it another go.

My name is Morten. I am a 45 year old goldsmith, jewelrydesigner, programmer, computer science PhD, knife and swordmaker, modeller, 3dprinting enthusiast roleplayer and just general makergeek.

I live in the beautiful countryside outside Copenhagen Denmark, in a fairly standard house with a fairly nonstandard workshop.

I live together with my wife, 3 kids, 3 chickens(presently) and one cat.

As my day job I work a a research programmer, it pays the rent and is infinitely more interesting than many other programmer jobs I could think of. I get to play with drones and Augmented and virtual reality, and I have great colleagues and flexible work hours.
I wrote a PhD on physical simulation of human motion, which basically means all manner of algorithms that can be used to model biomechanical motion and robotics. If you are interested you can check it out here: I retain my interest in robotics and biomechanics as well.
A couple of years ago I made my own company where I do jewelry design for the big international danish jewelry company Trollbeads. You can check out their description of me, and see some of my designs by clicking Here.
The money I get from that, has enabled me to set up my own workshop, where I make my swords and knives. Examples can be seen :

I also do Historical european martial arts, which basically means (at least for me) fencing with medieval and rennaisance swords and techniques. It is not reenactment and it is not olympic fencing. I am probably gonna post some stuff about that too.
I really like swords, really really, so I make them, I use them for training and I write about them, but my interests are quite diverse so should you choose to follow me you will get a mixture of 3d-modelling, drawings, sword/knife-forging, 3dprinting, nature hikes and mushroom collection and just general rambling about stuff that catches my eye.
