Hello Steemians, it's me doing an introduction finally

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Okay guys, I don’t know where to start, but I am gonna start anyways. My full name is Eint Chu Hlaing ( pronounce as in eight July). I am originally from Myanmar (Burma as it was previously called). But I have been staying in Singapore for the past 10 years.

As you probably know , I have been sharing about my travels here for the past three weeks and I hope you guys has been enjoying so far or at least I hope so .

Why all posts about Travel?
I kind of have to admit, I can’t really think of other topics to share, because travel is my life. I think about travel, I read about travel and I also dream about travel. And it’s the topic that I have quite a decent knowledge because I am a crazy person who read tons of tons of articles to find the best places and the cheapest way to travel .

And I also have to admit I don’t have a social life. Probably pathetic but I like the way it is. It makes me really happy at home reading about places, doing editing and may be a little bit of writing too.

But first, I want to clear some misconception about me. Most people think I am cool because I travel a lot (may be not a lot ) and I have also travelled by myself, I have travelled solo to Indonesia, Malaysia , India, Georgia and Iran. And most presume I am an outgoing person with fun personality .And the truth is I am not, I am shy and probably the least adventurous traveller ever. I am terrified of everything and even starting a conversation with a stranger. You will probably see me sitting somewhere alone during my travel. I love to be with nature and the surrounding and lost in my thoughts, and photographing memories. I also don’t party, smoke and not drink either, I know probably the most boring person!

And another thing is I come from a rich family because I can travel a lot.The answer is no. For us , Asians traveling the world is a very big privilege thing that not many people can afford. But I have been so lucky and fortunate enough to study here and get a job and I am forever grateful to have all the opportunities I have. And traveling using a third world country passport hasn't been easy( I will share my experiences in another post).

And To be honest, I come from a poor family , my parents has not been working as long as I can remember and our family has fights all the time. And that’s the reason I enjoy reading and writing , because it allows me to escape everything and express my feelings. And for the past 7 years, I have been supporting my family financially every month, so I have a responsibility to take care of them. I am not just a spoil brat going expensive places and trying to boost on social media. ( I don't know why I mention this here probably because I am tired of people misjudging me or I just want to be honest with you guys).

So how did it get all started with traveling?
I always wanted to travel the world since young. It was my dream. A dream I think it will never come true. Life has been good to me, even though I cry to sleep myself all the time, ok most of the time. I think myself I have an mental disorder (bipolar) , because I was always depressed, I still am. And I don’t know why, may be its because of my past childhood, even though I tried every time to forgive everyone who has hurt me in the past .It’s still a work on progress but I am getting better.

Anyway travel has changed me to be a better person, although it sounds super cliché. But it was true. Ever since my first solo travel , it changed everything. It change how I think , how I behave etc.

When I know about steemit, I was very excited . I think it was different from other social media, because it allow me to write more, apart from earning money of course. And I have been super lucky to have all of you support on my journey.

In a world of cryptocurrency , I have no idea what's go oning , but I'm Glad I'm learning through this community, meeting new friends .

This is the first time I have been so honest about myself in social media . I wanted to write a better one but I am glad I do this introduction right now . It wasn't prefect , and probably missed out things that I want to say but it's okay.

A massive thank you to 550 of you who has decided to follow my journey on steemit. Sending you visual hugs..

And thank you guys for the lovely comment and upvotes. Stay happy and steem on.

I will be glad to connect with you @aburmeseabroad

@aburmeseabroad My friend
Most of all thank you for clarifying yourself honestly.
I can understand you more through this article.

I like traveling very much.
Although I am over 40 years old, my heart is 20 years young.
I'm not looking for a bright personality through travel like you do.
Traveling with my family helps me find more of myself.

In the future, I think I would like to have frequent contact with you at steemit.
Perhaps steemit believes it will be a great asset to you in the future.
I also believe that Steemit is a place for me and a great asset.
Even if it does not become an asset, I like this place.

thank you for reading. I hope you can travel more with your family.

This might be one of the best introduction posts I've read so far! Thank you for sharing all your feelings and experiences with us - I'm glad you found out that travelling changed your life :) I think it's great that you're helping out your family and being in nature...having a moment for yourself is important for everyone - no one should judge you for loving these quiet and lonely places!
I'm looking forward to your future posts! Until then: Safe travels :)

thank you very much. appreciate it.

Nice story @aburmeseabroad, a bit sad though but opening up and write about your feelings is already a good start . Maybe It's not really a depression but more like a sense of insecurity... Being lone most of the time. You must feel proud, supporting your family by yourself and travel as much as possible. Not many people can do that..Keep it up.

Thank you for this, may be it is , sense of insecurity. People has been constantly criticized about how I look since young, literally up to now I would have at least 5 person telling me the same thing or so. And when I start on photography, I always compare and tell myself, I wasn't good enough.but I am Feeling positive and excited to be here now.

Traveling is a way of escaping, it's a journey to unknown places and that's why you might like it so much. I totally understand you because I am actually really shy also and suffer from depression from time to time. Traveling definitely helps because it makes me forget and concentrate on positive things. I think it's really brave of you to travel by yourself! I don't think I would be able to have the courage to do it! haha I am glad I am not the only one that gets annoyed when people say "Oh you're rich because you travel all the time" :/ No, actually I travel all the time because it's what I decide to spend my hard earning money on instead of other things! Traveling is what my hubby and I love to do. I think if people really want to travel they can make it happen if they really wanted to. Sorry my comment is so long! Thank you for your introduction :)

Thank you very much. It get really annoying sometimes , especially from a place, where hardly ppl go to travel not even once a year. I completely agree we make travel priories and I know travel is not for everyone and it will happen if they do the same.

Exactly! People can do anything if they really want it. Just do what you love and don't mind other people. Keep being awesome!😊 👍

Congratulation @aburmeseabroad, you are awesome and brilliant, you gain 550 followers in 3 week that is a great jobs

thank you very much.
