Inspiring site while I was living at the Grand Canyon 4 years ago

I do not know how this man made his way through the trees in order to get where he was. I was in a particularly poor mood that day and decided to walk to my favorite spot and take some photos on the way however when I arrived, I was shocked to see a lonely stranger already there. I never talked to him just took this picture and moved on. Who was this man? Was this his first time seeing the canyon? Or did he traverse the trails when he was a younger lad? Frankly life is beautiful and we should all be more grateful for the opportunities afforded to us.
