Electric Wound Dressing Helps Prevent Infections

Scientists at Indiana University School of Medicine have developed a wound dressing that is capable of generating a weak electrical field. The dressing uses it to disrupt biofilm infections in the wound and has already been approved by FDA. The results of the study appeared in the journal Annals of Surgery.
