it incredibly difficult to understand a speaking voice unless I'm looking at the person

I look at the mouth as people talk... I think people find it weird :D

I think that it is hard to recognize the affects yet, but later there is likely to be "symptoms" of inadequacy perhaps. For example, not being able to read the moods of a partner and you know ... "happy wife, happy life" :D

Have actually liked all of the art you've cared to share and would like to see more

I would like to do more, but I really only have the time to sketch at the moment so perhaps I will have to find ways o make it more creative. I liked having the car as the starting point, perhaps I will make it a themse for inktober.
