"These People Are Stupid"... The Kavanaugh Hearings & The Mid-Terms

It almost seems like the Democrats are pushing for a violent civil war in the US, or at least to keep pushing violent confrontations. Defeating the Kavanaugh appointment would have been so easy if they had only used their heads... not only could they have defeated it, but they could have gone into the midterms looking like heroes- if they had only used their heads.

This is only an opinion, but a well reasoned one I believe. Here's how they should have handled it. Brett Kavanaugh worked for George W Bush... he's a proponent of the Patriot Act and an enemy of the 4th Amendment. Even a cursory look at his time with Bush fine-tuning the Patriot Act, as well as his decisions as a federal judge, will confirm this. Instead of capitalizing on this they drag out some bedraggled looking activist who claims to have been groped at a high school party 35 years earlier and she's just been unable to cope with it for all this time... I'm sorry but Troma Pictures could have come up with a better storyline than that.

By hammering away at Kavanaugh's derision for the 4th Amendment, the Democrats could have come out looking like heroes. The Patriot Act (although written by a Democrat) is one of the least popular pieces of legislation in recent history- Obamacare notwithstanding. Had they focused on his judicial and political histories and questioned him about them, they wouldn't have needed the paid mercenaries. It's likely that he will support overturning Roe v. Wade, but the hysteria by the "vagina voters" was a little overdone. Getting #metoo involved was another mistake- especially for them... they destroyed what little credibility they had left.

It looks like there is no more centrist Democratic Party... they've sold out to the Alinskyites. Bernie Sanders and the Socialists are now the moderate wing of the Democrats, and they've been ousted by the militant Communists. Surely there's someone smart enough in the Democratic leadership to have figured out what I've said here. The only other reason I can see, is that when the indictments begin to become unsealed they are so damning for the Democrats that an armed conflict will be their only possible salvation. They are painfully aware that impeachment requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate... not likely to happen even if it passes the House. However, a simple majority in either house of Congress would almost surely slow the Trump presidency to a crawl... but it looks like they aren't smart enough for that.

It's beginning to look more and more like violence and civil war are the sole Democratic agenda... Hillary Clinton has said "no civility until we win back the House and Senate." Crazy Maxine is still out calling for confrontation, as are other prominent Democrats. Sen. Rand Paul is absolutely correct in his assessment that sooner or later one of the unhinged will shoot somebody... or should I say somebody else. It looks like the only ones the Democrats want to be heroes for is the Mental Defective League.
