Jim Carrey: "We have to say yes to socialism"

Carrey defended socialism, arguing it is not a failure in Canada, where he grew up.

“I grew up in Canada, OK, we have socialized medicine,” said Carrey. “And I’m here to tell you that this bullshit line that you get on all of the political shows from people is that it’s a failure — the system is a failure in Canada. It is not a failure, and I never waited for anything in my life. I chose my own doctors. My mother never paid for a prescription — it was fantastic.”

He continued, “I just got back from Vancouver, and I keep hearing, ‘Canadians are so nice. Canadians are so nice.’ They can be nice because they have health care — because they have a government that cares about them that doesn’t say, ‘Sink or f***ing swim, pal, or you live in a box.’ There are certain people in our society that need to be taken care of.”

Maher replied, “I’ve always said the United States has been quasi-socialist for a hundred years, for crying out loud.”

The actor then said Democrats should just embrace socialism.

“We have to say yes to socialism — to the word and everything,” he proclaimed to Maher. “We have to stop apologizing.”

Apparently Jim Carrey has returned with a joke that is not so funny. The comedian has said openly that the Democratic party should take off the mask and tell the truth once and for all, they are socialists...

Do not worry Carrey, for those of us with open eyes this is nothing new...

What seems unusual to me is that Carrey describes Canada as a Socialist State, it's just hilarious...

The Socialists have ridiculous arguments, for them the Scandinavian countries, Canada and all those countries that have a very favorable position in the rankings of economic freedom are socialist, but those countries with high restrictions in the economy are capitalist. What kind of nonsense is that?

Canada is not a socialist today, in the past it was moderately socialist, and things went wrong for some time for Canada. So, what the hell is Carrey talking about?

The most interesting thing here is the effrontery of these individuals, because obviously they do not fear to contradict the ideals of the founding fathers.

Socialism in America? Do you know who won the cold war? The Soviet Union did not ...

All the socialist countries failed, and then they had to sell all the properties that had expropriated the citizens at ridiculously low prices to a few oligarchs tied to the government who became very rich thanks to socialism.

It is still very surprising for me to hear someone propose socialism in America, it is simply unusual, because socialism is exactly the opposite of America.

I really hope that the American public did not take these statements very seriously. I hope that people do not buy this propaganda, because just listening to the term socialism on the political stage starts to scare me.

All this time many of us have warned that the Democratic Party is a socialist nest, and I believe that from now on they will begin little by little to show an image that they have hidden. After all, democrats voters already openly praise socialism.

If the democracy of the United States ever gives power to a socialist, all the wars and everything for which this country has fought would have been in vain.
