Astonishing Facts About Bioplastic Exposing The Ugly Truth

in #informationwar5 years ago (edited)

Profit seeking always works until a certain point, and then the apparently positive trends begin to reverse, exposing the negative and agendas. That is why and how we make sense of what is actually truly happening. Thanks to the Law of Polarity!

Let's remain realistic, the European-Bioplastic link is definitely pro-corporatism, and Earth Custodians are excellent at reading between the lines.

The planetary plastic pollution issue seems to have caught the mainstream by surprise recently. And editorials about it seem to be almost everywhere these days. Some organizations even come up with provocative solutions, although none of them offer any long-term solutions. Cutting cut down plastic pollution at the consumer level is key, even if bioplastics are more and more used in the distant future. Yes distant... and here is why...

It does now also appear that bio-plastic could offer a huge relief, and even more astonishing bioplastic could have been used DECADES ago, and prevented our massive pollution. But why bioplastics have had so little attention in the first place... follow the money... profit seeking. Simple.

Bioplastics are plastics derived from renewable biomass sources, such as vegetable fats and oils, corn starch, straw, woodchips, food waste, etc.... Not all bioplastics are biodegradable... Their usage is favourable only if supported by specific regulations limiting the usage of conventional plastics......Bio-based plastics are predicted to make up 5% of all manufactured plastics in 2020, and 40% of all manufactured plastics in 2030.[53]... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bioplastic

Unfortunately, regulators and lawmakers only do and say what corporations tell them to. If conventional plastic is cheaper, let the free market decide!

Well it is all obvious now that we must really think deeply BEFORE unleashing a discovery or invention. But the oil industry was already so powerful that there was no discussion at all. If wiki is correct, please also notice the "slow motion transition" toward bioplastics, which is dictated by the market forces again. Switching to bioplastics overnight would cause a world crash, as you may guess.

In a money-free society that would never happen because the market would not overproduce and nor be in hands of cartels.

EC have established numerous times that profit seeking makes humans shortsighted because stock exchanges only deal with corporate quarterly reports regardless of the long-term consequences. Bioplastic is such a case. It was and still is deemed too expensive.

The few lines below shed light on the dire consequences of the "money making mentality". That money does not decide anything but Nature, and that when monetarism comes before Nature, we end up destroying the latter.

Wealth only extracts its power from ignorance. Case proven again!

This free market experiment highlights many others. Now that the crisis is out in the open, can no longer be hidden, bioplastics are suddenly gaining attention, corporations also willing to win people's trust of course.

But consumers do not know that bioplastic was already available in 1897,which is a milk-based bioplastic that was created by German chemists and still made today. (see wiki link, scroll down) If the free market economy was for real, the industry would have developed other bioplastics as it is clear that milk alone cannot be the only source . But still the concept was out there waiting to be developed.

So now let's get ready to spread the word far and wide about a money-free society!

*The cost of research and development still makes up for a share of investment in bioplastics and has an impact on material and product prices. Additionally, the currently low oil prices are making it difficult for bioplastics to achieve competitive pricing levels compared to conventional plastics at present. However, prices have continuously been decreasing over the past decade. As more companies and brands are switching to bio-based plastics, and as production capacities are rising, supply chains and processes are becoming more efficient, and prices have come down significantly. With rising demand and more efficient production processes, increasing volumes of bioplastics on the market and oil prices expected to rise again, the costs for bioplastics will soon be comparable with those for conventional plastic prices.

Moreover, specific material properties of bioplastic materials can allow for a reduction of the overall volumes of materials needed for a product or application as well as for cost reduction in the use or end-of-life phase. Already today, there are several examples of cost competitive bioplastic materials and products. https://www.european-bioplastics.org/faq-items/how-are-costs-for-bioplastics-developing/*

yes, I now realize that too but I was searching about bioplastic ... Tnx again @baah

Brilliantly informative post, thank you. Money is always the key reason for carrying on with almost all harmful practices. Those who make the most out of all this stand to lose huge investments and maybe even their own family fortunes. While I don't agree with carrying on a harmful practice I can see why a quick change could also cause a breakdown too. Your point of a cashless society negating these consequences is a great one and also makes us all aware of how a consumer society is killing the planet for our own convenience. Great post and look forward to seeing more from you.

thanks @article 61, yes people who cannot imagine a world without money have themselves no imagination.

Here is some good news on the plastic front. But be warned! It involves the use of money!

In a free-money society that would never happen because the market would not overproduce and nor be in hands of cartels.

How would the market work without money or a price system? And how would it keep itself out of the hands of cartels?

you do NOT read... bio degradable plastic was already INVENTED IN 1897!!!!!!
the failure of the FREE MARKET EXPOSED.

This technique you just post about does not do anything if plastic production is not cut down... and if we did cut down, crash overnight guaranteed

You cannot deal with the Truth, can you?

The evidence that working with Nature on a daily basis offers THE BEST PREVENTION

It will work just fine. Thy estimate removing 50% of the plastic out of the largest patch that they call the pacific gyre in 5 years. After deployment to all major patches, they estimate 90% of plastic will be removed by 2040, or 20 years.

Isn't this great news for mother earth?

You said bioplastic prices would come down because of something or other. But there would be no prices if there was no money. We wouldn't know the costs of building something, and we wouldn't know its value. So how would we determine what to make and what not to make?

interesting link. will check it out more tomorrow

yeah you always defend the market/corporations/cartels even when the LIE is 100 year old.

5 years??? forget about it plastic is still dumped into the oceans at record speed. working at the production level is KEY... reacting when the damage is done is shortsighted....

good innovation but root cause of problem not addressed

20-40 years?? Forget about that, much of the plastic will have turned into microplastics, which were found in most salt table recently and tab water as well..

They know how much is being added. They did the world's most comprehensive survey of the plastic patches ever done. They can take out plastic much faster than it is dumped in.

Again, isn't this a great thing for mother earth?

In a free-money society that would never happen because the market would not overproduce and nor be in hands of cartels.

How would the market work without money or a price system?

You said bioplastic prices would come down because of something or other. But there would be no prices if there was no money. We wouldn't know the costs of building something, and we wouldn't know its value. So how would we determine what to make and what not to make?

How would the market work without money or a price system?

let me rephrase this: how would the market work without exploitation and greed. Because it is what prices mean.

Realistically since everybody is following the money, neglecting the human costs and the environment is always a consequence, as this blog shows again.

In a money free society, people do thing for one another and the community freely. Some people will want to become fashion designers, others create the fabrics, others working on the cotton fields, and they ALL will work in sync, meaning no overproduction. The infrastructure is already existing and some people will want to improve the latter voluntarily because they love technology.

Just an example. All human passions are complementary WHEN NOT COERCED BY MONETARISM.

How will they work in sync? How will a fashion designer know if she is neglecting the environment? How will she know if making 5 dresses is underproduction, or that 10 dresses is over production?
How would she know that making 10 pairs of trousers was what she actually should have made to avoid over production? And who would want to work in a cotton field for free? It is hot and humid and hard fucking work. It would be a much nicer day swimming in your free pool in your backyard.

Communism has been tried throughout history. It always fails miserably. In communism, everyone is supposed to work for the common good and take what they need. This always leads to collapse and/or starvation. It is human nature to do as little as possible for the most gain. If people get everything they need for free, they have no motivation. Why would you go work in a cotton field if you could just sit on your porch sipping lemonade while reading your favorite author?

The problem with the idea of a money free society is that everyone has to constantly be on their best behavior for it to work. If human beings were angels, then it might work. But we are not. Every human alive is a mixture of good and bad attributes. And we sometimes act well and sometimes act badly. Everyone will always at some point take more than they need, or they will rationalize that they really need more. Humans are really good at rationalizing bad behavior. And in the money free society, there is no governor on people's desires. How will anyone be stopped from taking more than they need? How will anyone be stopped from working less?

We do not have enough to make everything that everyone wants. This is the fact of our reality. So everyone is not going to get all that they want, and no one is going to be happy about it.

Resources are limited. And without the free market pricing system, things will be over produced and under produced all the time. Soviet Russia had no free market to determine prices, and they were famous for constantly having surpluses and shortages. Everyone would get ten pairs of pants, and no shirts one year; the next year, five shoes and no socks. This is because it is impossible to coordinate resources and industry with consumer needs without a pricing system. The only way Soviet Russia was able to curtail consumer demand was with a monolithic and absolute dictatorship that decreed how much you wanted. Sounds like a wonderful utopia!

How are you going to limit people's consumption of goods in your money free society?

Bioplastic NOT being commercialized on a huge scale highlights the problem with PRICING, because when profits only matters, long term consequences are neglected. So conventional plastic is way cheaper but HOW MUCH is going to cost any serious cleanup? Money/pricing is misleading and we we look at the world today, we see the same FLAWS in many fields. Money will thus NOT resolve a thing, make the world better.

wrong communism does not work without money... and you support fascism (bank corporation state alliance).... BOTH ARE SAME

NO decentralization is possible as long as money exists, I am afraid.

if you equate passion to love one's job WITHOUT being coerced into it to communism. 80% of people hate their jobs today and exploitation is rampant because people do what ever it takes to pay the bills, hence are at the mercy of corporations... thanks to fascism. In a money free society, restarting from scratch and learning very different skills is easy and promoted. So everybody can contribute at many levels.

Randomness is a Cosmic Law... when ALLOWING THINGS TO HAPPEN, the latter fall into place organically, and the negative is minimalist. In our society today, it is THE OPPOSITE.

Limiting consumption comes with the understanding that overconsuming destroys natural resources of course, people will chose to live with less but with the LESS WILL BE OF A MUCH HIGHER QUALITY. Obsolescence will be over.

You inspired me for the next blog. Tnx
