A lot of teaching/seminar/coaching/workshops are basically of little more purpose than to make money for the coach... whether it actually helps the student is often relatively unimportant.

I am reminded of a fairly prominent "relationship coach" who has written many books and gives expensive seminars... and who has been married several times and remains divorced.

Sad, but true.
