Proof of Brain and Buying Vote

It there is one thing that I want to criticize toward the development of Steemit nowadays is that the weaker of Proof of Brain in the middle of the swift current of Buying Vote, that even now is manage by profitable management.

I oftenly wondered if the fundamental of Proof of Brain that placed by Dan Larimer will lost and taken from the Steem Community as Dan Larimer left from Steemit Inc, and it that mean that the content business in all social media that based of Steem token will completely move to the capilatism, where there is money when there is profit. Then where is the brain?

I still have a wish that Proof of Brain is consistenly become the soul of all application content which built under Steem blockchain. Steem, in the beginning was understood as the token that has an unique side since it was attached to two main character which were not exist on the other token, which are “Smart” and “Social” charaters. Through the Reward Pool, people were encouraged to produce content and curate contents. And via upvote, people are encourage their wisdom to appreciate content and distribute the token based on their subjective assesment.

This two unique characters are called Proof-of-Brain, and Steem become the truly tools to empowering the community. This is also the reasons why all the member of community try to add the community value by the reward structure that has been built.

That is the “sun” that attracts people to migrate to Steem, especially from the Steemit media. But, when today there is so much facts of “capital versus capital” phenomena, then there are a lot of people who think what is the difference between old social media and Steemit social media? If other social media do not pay them then Steemit suppose to buy (pay) if they want to get part of Reward Pool from upvote. There is no difference, then.

Not only buying vote, if Steemian who are rich of Steem Power doing self-vote, it means they are having power to take money from the storage for themselves. What is the difference between good governance in the government which critisized by the cryptocurrency community and good governance in Steem community that in the beginning is consider as a better state instead of real state with currency which managed by Central Bank?

If Steem is still consistent to have a will and build the community token, then the owner of big Steem Power which are the Whales supposed to do self curation, and if they have no time, then please to do not delegate Steem Power to Steemian who encourage to do buying vote, it is much better to delegate Steem Power to those who are actively building the community on their countries.

They are the one who already become the hero to bring people come to Steem social media after they succeed in convincing others that all contribution in social media based on Steem token will have opportunity to get reard, not only Steem, SBD, and Steem Power but also social reward that makes all are having a chance to change the world by their brain contribution.

This is one of the reason why I stop a bit doing the promo-steem since the lost of its unique characters of Steem, which are its “Brain” and “Social”. Unfortunately, now I have no solution to make this post become a trending post unless I do buying vote. There is only one way, miracle of people with big Steem Power’s hearts to give upvote.
