Hello dear Steemians, how have you been? It's been more than a week since my last post. Today I'd like to show you what I've been doing in the last few days. My little kobold is now nearly 1,5 years old and it doesn't seem that my dress would fit again soon. T_T Well, actually the dress could still fit on me if only the bust size didn't expand too much after pregnancy. Now I'm still breastfeeding and I haven't set up any plan when I would stop doing it yet, so... perhaps this condition wouldn't change till the next year. I'm not even sure if it would really shrink again to the old size if I stop breastfeeding... so I think I really have to say good bye to some clothes of mine...

Halo sobat steemians, apa kabar? Sudah seminggu berlalu sejak postingan terakhir saya. Kali ini saya ingin berbagi kepada sobat semua apa yang saya lakukan seminggu belakangan ini. Ya... saya beberapa hari terakhir memantapkan hati untuk membersihkan isi lemari baju saya yang penuh dengan baju yang sudah tidak muat lagi dibadan, dan sepertinya tak ada harapan lagi untuk kembali muat... setidaknya tidak sampai tahun depan tiba. Sebenarnya sih bajunya masih bisa muat kalau saja lingkar dada saya ngga mekar terlalu banyak saat mulai hamil tempo hari dan sampai sekarang belum menyusut karena masih menyusui dan belum ada rencana pasti kapan berhenti. Saya sendiri ngga begitu yakin apakah setelah menyapih si kecil, lingkar dada bakal beneran bisa kembali seperti dulu... Jadi sepertinya sih saya memang harus mengucapkan selamat tinggal pada beberapa baju favorit saya. T_T

This dress is called "daster batik". Batik is a traditional hand dyed garments technique which is acknowleged by the UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Indonesia. So this dress is a precious asset in my wardrobe, although the price is quite moderate. It's not the luxurious hand made batik on silk, but a "daster", a cotton batik dress which is normally worn at home as a sleeping dress. :-D But this dress is reeeeally comfortable to wear. And depend on the design, one can even wear it as a pretty casual dress to hang out only with a pretty accessoires to accentuate the dress... a chic wide belt, scarf and necklace for example. In Eurepe here, who would ever thought that it's actually a sleeping dress with such a beautiful combination LOL? Just like these ones in the picture below... These are also some common "daster" dress in batik pattern, one dress costs perhaps only 5€. Of course these are not the hand dyed one but the printed one. I also have few hand dyed batik fabrics but I don't even make a dress out of it. I just couldn't cut it and only wrap it on my body in a traditional way if I want to wear one. ^_^ In these pictures I was in our vacation in Malaga and few months pregnant. The design of the dress is a bit loose, wide from top to bottom, so I was still able to wear it comfortable enough during pregnancy.

Daster batik mungkin di Indonesia sana dianggap baju murahan, tapi buat saya disini harta yang sangat berharga. ^_^ Di Indonesia harga...nya boleh aja ngga lebih dari 5€ kalau di kurs, tapi disini kalau dikasih aksesori yang pas, bisa jadi gaun yang stylish lho. Emangnya siapa orang di Eropa yang bakal mengira kalau ini di Indonesia baju buat "glangsaran" sehari-hari atau juga sekedar buat dipakai sebagai baju tidur. Tentu aja aku juga punya sih kain batik yang kualitasnya bagusan dikit, yang bukan batik print gitu deh. Cuma nggak aku bikin baju, rasanya nggak tega aja mau motong-motong nya hehehe. Jadi kainnya cuma di lilit aja dibadan kalau pas pengen makai gitu. Coba aja lihat foto dibawah ini, itu daster saya beli cuma 50-60 rebu kali ya dulu... Itu aku pake jalan-jalan di Malaga, saat itu aku lagi hamil muda. Tapi bajunya masih muat lantaran modelnya melebar ke bawah.

But this one... hmmm, unfortunately not possible anymore for me to wear it since the design was rather fit on top.
So I just have to make some alteration if I still want to wear it now.

( Tapi daster yang model kayak dibawah ini nih... sudah nggak muat lagi untuk saya pakai sekarang. Jadi ya terpaksa mesti dirombak kalau masih pengen memakainya.)

Soooo.. Ta daaaaaaa.....
This is the result of my handwork in the last few days...
From one "daster batik" we now get a bolero and a cute dress for my little princess.

(Akhirnya...ta daaaaa....
Ini dia hasil kerjaan saya beberapa hari terakhir ini...
Dari satu potong daster batik saya lahirlah sebuah bolero buat mama dan sebuah gaun cantik untuk si putri kecilku.)

This is my sewing maschine that I initially bought to alter the trousers we bought.
I am very short so I always have to cut the trousers I bought and here in Germany, the service for just a simple work costs me 10-12€ per piece. So it's really expensive in the long run. So I decided to just buy a sewing maschine for ca. 100€.
I would reach the BEP (Break Event Point) only after the 10th. trousers, and that would happen rather fast.
Especially because my husband need to use the same service too. :-D
Later on I slowly learn to do some more with my maschine, especially since I have a baby. ^_^
On the right side is the rest of the dress... perhaps I still can make a cute hairband out of it for my little kobold.

(Ini dia mesin jahitku yang awalnya aku beli cuma karena mau dipakai untuk memotong celana doang.
Aku kan pendek ya, jadi setiap kali beli celana mesti dipotong. Padahal ongkos potong celana disini muahaaal banget rek, 10-12€ per-potong.
Mesin jahit ini harganya cuma sekitar 10-an €, jadi cuma butuh 10 celana doang untuk bisa mencapai BEP, cucuk lah belinya meskipun cuma buat motong doang.
Apalagi suamiku juga butuh ini jasa potong celana, jadi BEP-nya ya cepet banget itu tercapai hahaha.
Tapi sekarang aku mau mencoba belajar menjahit sih... jadi mesinnya bisa lebih sering difungsikan gitu.
Apalagi sekarang ada si kecil... yang fisiknya cenderung mungil juga, jadi pengen bikinin aja banyak baju-baju lucu buat dia.
Yang disebelah kanan gambar itu adalah sisa-sisa dasterku kemarin... kayanya sih masih cukup untuk dibuat aksesoris rambut untuk si kecil. Coba aja ntar deh kalau sempat. ^_^)
