I have been listening to the Tushauriane podcast for a number of weeks now. I feel that it is important that to understand the issues that new immigrants to Canada face, we need to listen to their stories.

In this episode, Shamila, shares her experience in Canada, balancing being a mother, with the demands of running a business while also working full-time.

This week's guest has a refreshing view of the Canadian Immigrant experience. I have advocated that immigrants need to connect to communities in Canada reflecting their cultural and national heritage.

This guest Shamila takes it even further, promoting the idea that new immigrants should actively look for mentors. A previous guest, Nick Noorani had talked about using LinkedIn as a tool to help in this process.

The following is a video describing more about mentoring in Canada.
