Facebook introduces the latest feature of profile photo thief stabbing

Facebook introduces new protection features for user profile photos in India, in an effort to prevent others from copying, sharing or misusing photos.
Users who want to maintain a profile photo through the latest system may reduce the possibility of others sending, sharing or downloading photos. A person can no longer mark themselves on someone else's picture.
A blue shield frame will also be available on the outside of the photo to prevent others from screenshots of profile photos.
Facebook said the feature was presented after hearing feedback from Indian social and safety organizations that some women in the country chose not to upload their faces photos to the internet.
The feature was developed in collaboration with various organizations, where preliminary testing indicates reduced misuse of profile photos.
For example, Facebook says simple things like adding a special frame design to the photo portion at least reduces the chances of a photo being copied by 75 percent.
However, according to The Verge's page, users can still do screenshots on their laptops or computers, and the blue frame is limited to "visual clues" of protection.
However, if initial testing shows that the frame may reduce the possibility of "theft" of a photo, then it can be a useful feature for users in India.
For now, Facebook has not indicated that a similar move will be present in other countries, according to The Verge.
