Function X will be leading the charge to power this new era of decentralized world. 🔥

Function x has not only developed a public chain but a total decentralized solution. The project consists of five core components that I am going to take you through in this article.

Function x Operating System. (f(x) OS).

The function x operating system is an Android modified operating system that is compatible with blockchain. With this I can be able to switch smoothly between the blockchain and the conventional model. In the blockchain model, each bit and byte are fully decentralized. I am talking about my calls, messages, browsers, and applications. When in the conventional mode, the function x OS supports all Android features.

Function x FXTP.

FXTP is a transmission protocol for the decentralized network, and it differs from HTTP in the fact that it is an end to end transmission mechanism whereby my data can be sent, received, and displayed based on a consensus mechanism instead of a client server-based decision-making mechanism.

FXTP acts as a propagation protocol through a consensus model. Any node which propagates the protocol and its packet content can be considered as both a ‘client’ and a ‘server.’ The reason for this is because whether a packet reaches a destination is not determined by any intermediate party making it way more secure.

Function x IPFS.

IPFS is a protocol and network which is designed for the storage of data in a distributed system. If I want to retrieve a file, I can call an identifier (hash) of the file, then IPFS will comb through the other nodes and provide me the file. If I run my node, the file will be stored on my node, and it will be available for other people to download.In the instance of another person downloading my file, it will be available on both my node and the downloader’s as well.IPFS is decentralized and more secure thus ensuring that data transfer is quicker.

Function x Decentralized Docker.

Docker refers to a computer program that is designed to simplify the creation, deployment, and running of applications. Containers allow a developer to package up an application, including libraries, and ship it all out as a package. A decentralized docker is hence an open platform where developers can build, deploy and run distributed applications. As a developer, you will be able to store, ship and run your codes remote in various locations, and the codes are safe in a decentralized manner.

Function x chain.

The function x chain refers to a set of consensus algorithms which are in the form of a distributed ledger as part of the function x ecosystem. The building block of the Function x platform distributed ledger will be the blockchain. The distributed ledger will store and verify transactions such as financials, payments, communications (storage, phone calls, file transfers), services (DApps), among many others.

People all around the world will have access to a smart device that operates full-on blockchain and offers all the benefits that blockchain technology comes with.
