Cardstack: Experience Layer of The Decentralized Internet

Today, almost every service provider has an application which a user is required to have on his smartphone or computer in order to have access to it’s services. These applications require different log in details, different subscription and payment method leading an inconsistent and unsatisfactory user experience. This has also created multiple problems ranging from difficulty remembering password for each app, time wasted switching from one app to another, and these apps consume storage space on the device. With the emergence of Blockchain technology, it promised a lot of capabilities in our financial systems, technologies, our political structures, thereby creating a decentralised world where peers will directly interact with each other, share information and provide services to other peers but instead this has resulted in large dApp silos. As each dApp on the Blockchain has its own ecosystem requiring different log in details, utility tokens, instead of eliminating the problem of data silos it has added to the problem.
Cardstack wants to make all these a thing of the past by guaranteeing a consistent and satisfactory user experience across all our device, the cloud and blockchain through the organisation, mixing, and matching of features from different apps and dApps into a single interface without the user having to worry about different protocols, interfaces, subscriptions, utility tokens and at the same time rewarding software developers. This will truly lead to an open digital world instead of the app silos we’ve been accustomed to.



Each card on Cardstack is known as a stack, the Cardstack Hub will enable users to stack different cards in order to create new workflow thereby joining services from different layers of the internet. This will go on to create a seamless transition between the internet of today and the Blockchain internet. Users of Smart card will no longer have to worry about fraud, scams and other cyber security problems which is as a result of stolen card details by hackers as Cardstack will use a smart contract protocol that will track and verify the credibility of every transaction on the Blockchain before it can be authorised. Transactions on Cardstack will be powered by the Cardstack Token (CARD), a utility tokens which will create a sustainable marketplace where open-source developers are rewarded fairly and at the same time allowing users to curate and combine the perfect mix of software services to fit their needs.
