Good morning
Good day
Good night
To all who come onto Steemit!

This post is all about @senorcoconut

whom I think is a cool duderino.

And I am sure you will think so too

After you read his interview and watch his GREAT Fun Crazy Steemit Thing!

ENJOY!

Q&A

Who are you? Tell us anything and everything you’d like us to know about you!

Another guy who landed in the US a long time ago… On the way we made a stop in Venezuela
but the boat was dry docked. One day after a fight, I got chased away at gunpoint and taken
back to France. I was only 12 years old but I learned to speak spanish.
My american story started when I found out I was going to be a big brother! The father was this
american sailor who had taken my mom on an escapade around the world…We had lived in
different places my whole life, so moving into my dad’s house a while, going to a new school
and finding new friends was nothing strange.
It all started right outside Paris, than it was Brittany near the “Mont Saint-Michel”, this fortified
city on small island we could walk to at low tide. But watch out, it is said the tide comes back up
as fast as a galloping horse.
We moved again, just a short ferry ride away from Belle-île-en-Mer, where the “american” first
made his appearance, and again to the south of france close enough to Barcelona that we could
go by scooter! My dad was near Paris, and so I moved in with him until I really needed to be in
the world traveling around with my mom and her new boyfriend…
We, settled in New York, but when I left the nest I continued. Got myselfs backpack, went to
Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Belize. I kept moving, I lived in Louisiana, California,
Washington, New Mexico, France, Spain, Colombia and every time I would end up coming back
to New York! The trips to third world countries haven’t stopped, South America, North Africa... I
found my wife at Burning Man (the festival) and went to South-East Asia,
We now have a 3 year old son and we are building a multi-family anarchist homestead for
travelers and artists who want to slow down and live off the grid,
(https://steemit.com/permaculture/@senorcoconut/the-homestead-with-anarchist-tendencies). I
finally want to settled down, grow my own food, be in the woods, have space to create large
sculptures and the resources to build naturally!
Yeah I think that’s about it for a short version I guess...

What makes your heart smile?

Good travel stories, giant artwork, fire and learning new skills but most of all really what
makes my heart smile big is our little 3 year old homie!

How did you get onto Steemit?

I can’t quite remember where I heard about Steemit, but it was for sure on one of three
podcasts; Jack Spirko’s The Survival Podcast, The Vin Armani Show or on The Survival
Punk Podcast. And I am glad I did find this place….!

Where do you want to die?

It really doesn’t matter where I die, but if possible I would like the funeral to be a big
party where I am sitting on a large chair atop a pile of wood. I want music and people to
dance!

When’s the last time you cried?

New Year’s eve, I was reading a letter my mother gave me for christmas. A letter about
our past, the culture we created as a family.

What’s something you DON’T like about all this new technology?

I don’t like how addicted people get (myself included) to the screen.

What mistake do you keep making and why?

Coming home before the end of the day…. I usually never get back out, I get lazy.

What’s the best advice you have ever gotten?

Don’t worry about nothing, in the end it always works out. What’s the point of suffering
through a scenario that has not happened yet? If it does become reality, you will have
suffered twice for it!

If there was something you could un-do, what would it be?

I would probably un-do all the hatfull things I have done to my stepfather.

Imagine that you magically have the ability to keep being alive without sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

I would use that time for making art, building our homestead and building community.

What’s the stupidest thing you’ve done that actually turned out pretty well?

I really don’t know… thinking I could outrun the police in an old 1971 VW Beetle. It was costly and I had one cop jumping me while the other made sure to point his gun at me, but in the end I learned to put on my poker face in front of authority. If you can get away unharmed or un-ticketed, you’re the one who wins the “conflict”.

What makes your belly ache with laughter?

That’s a hard one too… I think it’s too broad a question for me. I do have laughing fits when others are having one. It’s a contagious thing.

Tell us about 1 significant event in your life that really made you who you are.

Moving to the USA as a teenager.

What would be the scariest monster you could imagine?

The girl from the original Exorcist movie… that left movie left a mark for sure!

What does Steemit mean for you?

Steemit for me means more freedom. I always look for ways to live without the need to work for someone else. If we need less money, working a “job” is less needed. In this case it looks like we can make a little something as we need it. It also helps me write which is something I have been meaning to do. And I like taking a part in this new technology!

What would you like your last meal to be?

That’s an easy one….. A salad made from the best tomatoes with my grandmother’s vinaigrette and served with a rare piece of (non-industrial) skirt steak

If you could be an animal for a day, which animal would you be? Why?

I would be an eagle, because I want to fly and be the all seeing eye, on the hunt from the
sky!

Which person inspires you the most and why do they inspire you?

This person is probably a good large combination of family, friends and internet stars, but at the moment I would have to say it’s my friend Ben as soon as he activates his account you can see what he does here @apocalyst. Anyways, he inspires me because he made the move out of the big city almost 3 years ago and jumped right into raising chickens, learning all he could on medicinal plants and in general making art, beautiful art, mixing carpentry, metal sculpting, bones and feathers. This is a good friend who also proudly stands his ground when it comes to following his principles and is well versed in the arts of spiritual medicine.

What are you insecure about?

I’m insecure about my own music.

Describe your ideal life.

Living off the land, without any kind of authority trying to tell me how to live, what to do and how to do it. Making art and teaching little ones about life outside the “box”.... I want to unschool my children.

Have you ever saved someone’s life?

I have, in high school. My girlfriend didn’t sound good on the phone and she must of told me she had taken a whole bottle of sleeping pills… I called 911, they later told me I had called just in time, she would not have survived had I called any later.

What do other people think is weird about you?

I make time for living my life. Family and life comes first, I would rather spend everything I have to do what I want than slave away on a job. And I do have a job, but I was lucky enough to make it so that I can come and go almost as I please. It takes a little diplomacy at times but for the most part I leave when I want to leave and come back when I need to.

What do you think is one of the best things about you?

Other than what I just answered above, I know how to listen to someone without my thoughts interrupting. I actually listen, and sometimes I think of something I’d like to say, but by the time I can speak I forgot what it was and that’s ok.

What’s one responsibility you really wish you didn’t have?

Owning an apartment I am not allowed to rent as I wish. This actually is a wish that may come true this year or the next!

If you had a personal flag, what would be on it?

No flag thank you… I just never been much of a “borders” type.

If a genie granted you 3 wishes right now, what would you wish for?

My first wish would be to have unlimited wishes, second wish would have something to do with making mankind respect our home and future generations, the third wish would be to make a free source of energy readily available to everyone…..

What do you think about when you’re by yourself?

I think a lot about education and how we have been manipulated, perhaps since the beginning of this so called “civilised” world. We can change this and lately I have really been thinking we can do this through blockchain technology, steemit and everything on the anarchy side of things!

What would you want to be written on your tombstone?

“Father, Husband, Punk...Life isn’t that serious anyway”

Who is the person you trust most?

My beloved wife if for sure the person I trust the most.

What’s your favourite word?

My favorite word would have to be Extravaganza.

Who is your fave (or one of your favourite) Steemians and why?

I would have to say there are more than one. @papa-pepper for making steemit fun for a lot of people through contests, challenges and showing us how homesteading can be very fun and rewarding. @canadianrenegade for inspiring others with building a beautiful tiny-home. @mountainjewel for showing us how very possible it is to live in the woods, build a log cabin with a chainsaw and homesteading through upcycling and using natural resources. There are more but I think for now those are my 3 faves.

If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?

They would assume I couldn’t hold my tongue and I got myself in trouble by telling the truth to an asshole cop with enough power (or persuasion) to lock me up.

When you looked in the mirror first thing this morning, what was the first thing you thought?

I need to shave!

What is your nickname?

Frenchy at work, Handsome Pants or Papa at home.

As a Human Of Steemit, how do you contribute to Steemit?

I’ve only been here a few months and so far all I have been doing is interacting with other steemians on posts and creating content and playing in a few challenges.

Thank you much @mountainjewel. I hope so too...as I told you before I have that little habbit of making dreams come true and this time the dream and reality are happening at the same time...kind of wierd!

I hope you keep on rocking this boat!

Good write up, original work

"I think a lot about education and how we have been manipulated."
Sadly, truer words have never been spoken

Thank you @normalbro I can't take the credit for those words...they came out of whatever has influenced me through the years and see anyway, you were thinking it too! But yea we have been for sure, sadly manipulated for far too long.

I am working on a post to help us free ourselves through the practice of recognizing dreams that have come true to create from new dreams...

It just takes me for ever to write these posts as of now.

Congratulation @humansoftsteemit on your achievement, really really happy for you

very cool idea on getting to know other members better.
Just have to say, love that part about the genie's 3 wishes - especially number 2. The current generation should be mindful if they want the next to have an enjoyable one.

#humansofsteemit what an awesome idea!! The questions are very good and it is pretty neat to get to see into the life's of some of the Steemit community. Definitely following you now and @senorcoconut

Nice, I've had a few little chats with @senorcoconut, cool to read this and get to know him better!
