Preparing for our baby and more chickens for the homestead
With a baby on the way we are getting the room prepared. We got more chicks for our homestead. We hope to provide our own fresh meat and eggs from now on.
I am sharing our videos and articles since our move to the new 18 acre homestead in Michigan. When we get you caught up with our story we will continue to share our daily videos as we make them.
My parents were at a garage sale and found us some very good deals for the baby room. We are setting up a room for our little baby now.

We went in to the doctor and had our first ultrasound. We found out that we are having a baby girl. We were not sure if we wanted to know or not but so many people wanted to know what color clothes to buy that we went ahead.
On the way home from town we picked up some more broiler chickens. These are fast growing meat birds which are ready for harvest in 8 to 12 weeks.
We dont like to kill animals but we do eat meat and home raised chicken is so much better for you. And healthier by far since we are going to raise our birds on all natural food.

Troy tries to paint this picture that all his critics are juvenile trolls who harass him for no reason other than they are “trolls”. The truth is that a lot of his critics are former followers and supporters who woke up to his deceptive and dishonest ways. You still collected nothing cause you never had insurance on the land, I had land and know the costs and if you did pay insurance your deductible was so high that you got nothing.
Troy most of us on .sucks have or had land, oh and we owned it out right, we know the laws, we know what to do with it, we even know how to turn land into residential property and do it legally, we put in septic systems and built to code the buildings.

@thediyworld, I have not seen any "off grid living" since you moved to Michigan. As YOU told me this morning, only one shed is off grid.
I have not seen any "self-suffient living" either. You RELY on everyone other than yourself for everyday life including income, gifts and nessessities for the baby. Picking tomatoes and blueberries does not count.
The only "budget" is spending the variable and questionable monies from others that you also misrepresent, as opposed to a steady wage.
A person that buys toys and non-necessities from Amazon is not on a budget.
Please do not confuse this, I am not advocating you get a job like others have. That is not my concern.

Because there are TWO off grid sheds. My electronics lab and my fully off the grid wood shop. Both powered by a set of solar panels and batteries.
Oh and we have battery powered LED lighting which we charge by day (as needed) using folding solar panels
We use a solar cooker for our meals a lot of the time. I love that thing!!
And in our tiny house we use laptops or tablets for work. LED lighting mentioned above at night. The fridge is run by an extension cord to solar panels out in front of the tiny house.
And our washing machine is off the grid now too :)
Only our water pump is not yet able to go off the grid but we hope to overcome that soon.
Google pays my monthly pay check.

We see the devises plugged into the wall, but you have not shown how the refrigerator is plugged in via an extension cord, and running, and from solar.
