Contest : P's Fascination with Mirrors

Hello my steemit friends I hope you are all doing great and enjoying your day. I am very happy to take part in this interesting contest called "P's Fascination with Mirrors." Mirrors are something we use every days but we do not always think deeply about them this contest gave me a chanced to think about mirrors in a different way. I will now share my thoughts on the questions given in this contest.
Do mirrors always tell or reflect the truth? Do they never lie?
When I look into a mirror i see my face my expressions and how i look. Mirrors show us how we appear on the outside. So yes in that way mirrors do reflect the truth. But i also feel that mirrors don’t tell the full truth. They only show the outside part of us. They do not show what is in our heart or mind. A person may look happy in the mirror but may be feeling very sad inside. A person may look strong but may be full of pain. So mirrors don’t lie but they also don’t show the real truth about who we are inside. The truth of a person is not only in the face but also in the soul and a mirror cannot reflect that.
Do you think it's bad luck to look in a broken mirror?
Some people say that it is bad luck to look into a broken mirror. I have heard this many times. People believe that if you look into a broken mirror you will have seven years of bad luck. To be honest I don’t believe in this. I think it is just an old story that people started long ago and others just followed it. But i do believe that a broken mirror can be dangerous. It can hurt you if you touch it or if the glass falls. So i avoid broken mirrors not because of bad luck but because i want to stay safe. Still i respect the beliefs of others. If someone believes in this i understand and won’t argue.
Do you know any other uses for mirrors besides just looking at ourselves?
Mirrors are not only used for looking at our faces. They are used in many other ways. In homes mirrors are used for decoration. A mirror can makes a small room look bigger and brighter. In cars and bikes mirrors are used for safety. The rearview mirror and side mirrors help the driver see what is behind or beside them. Mirrors are also used in science. In telescopes and microscopes mirrors help scientists and doctors see small or faraway things. Mirrors are also used in solar cookers and solar panels to reflect sunlight. So mirrors are very useful tools in many parts of life not just for personal use.
What does the following phrase mean to you: "It is not a good idea to look at life through the rearview mirror."
There is a phrased that says “Its not a good idea to look at life through the rearview mirror.” I thinks this sentence means that we should not always look at our past. Just like when we drives a car we look forward to see where we are going. We may look in the rearview mirror sometimes but if we keep looking back we will miss the road ahead. In life it is the same. If we always think about past mistakes pain or sad memories we will not be able to move on. We should learn from the past but focus on the present and future. Life is too short to live in the past. We must keep going forward with hope.
I want to say that mirrors may look simple but they are actually quite deep and meaningful. They show us more than just a reflection. They make us think about ourselves our past and our future. Saludos compañera es un gusto visitar tu post, la verdad es que los espejos pueden llegar a ser útil y a la vez con poca importancia en nuestra vida, cuando nos toca ver nuestra apariencia externa son necesarias pero más allá de eso el espejo nada más puede reflejar. Pero no hay que olvidar las otras funciones importantes para las que podemos llegar a necesitar un espejo como las que mencionas en tu post por seguridad o simplemente decoración, deseo éxitos para tí, hasta pronto.
