Hi everyone, for this post I am participating in a contest hosted by @suboohi About Contest Alert ⚠️ Balanced Diet. Continuing my last post, I recommend my friends @shahidalinaz , @abdullahw2 , and @ruthjoe to also participate in this contest.

A well-balanced diet A well-balanced diet with everything the body needs in the right amounts, like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, etc. The primary aim of a balanced diet is to prevent disease, maintain health and energy, and other lifestyle issues. Such a diet is concerned not only with the quantity but also the quality and variety of foods to which it is applied.

Generally diet plays an important role in health. Healthy eating can assist with immune functioning, organ performance, bone strength, cell growth and repair. Conversely, a poor diet — one loaded with fast foods rich in sugar and saturated fats — can lead to obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.

I’m personally a fan of the whole food diet. Here’s what I don’t find suspect: eating unprocessed, natural foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, fish, nuts, and lean meats. The logic is, whole foods are more complete for nutritional needs they do not contain the extra chemicals that are commonly found in processed foods.

If my experience is any guide, a healthy diet may be best begun slowly. You don’t have to quit all your favorite foods cold turkey, but gradually start incorporating healthier snacks like fresh fruit, drink more water and work on fitting more vegetables into each meal. Also an active life and fixed meal timings also help a great deal in keeping mind and body in checks.
