Contest Alert: Nails Health
Hello Everyone. I am @shiftitamanna
From #Bangladesh
Greeting my dear friends. Welcome to a new post on Nails Health. Today I am here to participate in a new contest organized by one of our Steemian friends @afzalqamar. I really liked the topic of the contest, so I am starting to write on the topic of nail health to participate in today's contest.
Nail diseases affect the nails, causing changes in their appearance, structure, or health. Nail diseases can be caused by infection, injury, or underlying health problems. Nail diseases are classified as fungal infections, bacterial infections, dermatological conditions, or systemic diseases that manifest through nail abnormalities that cause suffering to the patient.
There are several symptoms of nail disease and now I am going to present some of them to you.
Discoloration: Yellow, brown, or white spots on the nails are a sign of nail disease.
Thickening: Thickening of the nails, a sign of fungal infection, is also a sign of nail disease.
Brittleness: Weak nails that break easily.
Ridges: Vertical or horizontal lines in the nails are a sign of nail disease.
Pain or swelling: A sore or ulcer around the nail that is swollen, painful, or bleeding.
In some cases, it is possible to get rid of these nail diseases through several methods. Notable among these are: Taking antifungal medications for fungal problems, Antibiotics for bacterial problems, Topical steroids, Protective nail coatings, etc. It is possible to cure these nail diseases in many other ways.
Below are some things you can do to prevent nail diseases:
Keeping nails clean: We need to clean and trim our nails regularly. This will prevent excess dirt from accumulating inside the nails and it will not cause any damage to the nails.
Do not bite nails: Biting nails can cause infection and damage to the nails, so we need to maintain the health of our nails.
- Moisturize nails and cuticles: Dry nails are more likely to crack and become infected, so we need to apply moisturizing lotion or oil to keep our nails and cuticles hydrated.
It is also possible to avoid all these nail diseases by eating a balanced diet, keeping nails away from injuries, and not using any chemicals or harmful ingredients for nails.
I have a personal experience with nail diseases and that is that a few years ago, while cutting my nails, I cut off a large part of the nail, which resulted in a wound. My mistake was that I did not clean the wound, due to which my nails and the area around the nails became weak due to the attack of fungus, which created a very difficult situation for me.
Although I later sought help from the doctor and got rid of the problem by taking antifungal medicine. However, during the time of the problem, my nails were severely damaged and I felt quite painful. However, at present, my nails are healthy, which is a relief for me.
I would like to invite my friends @mdkamran99, @hotspotitaly and @lirvic to participate in this contest.
I invite you to support @pennsif and @pennsif.witness to grow across the whole platform through robust communication at all levels and targeted high-yield developments with the resources available.
