"Doctors Without Borders"
This is an educative contest where participants may come with different opinions or point, Steemit is a learning platform where we are going to learn new things on a daily basis.
Doctors Without Borders are people who provide humanitarian medical services to sick people experiencing HIV, AIDS, hepatitis B, diabetes, malaria, etc. It's a non-governmental organization that provides care to victims facing political chaos and natural disasters in their host country.
History states that this organization was founded in 1971 with the aim of providing medical assistance to distressed people. They have multiple offices across the world to provide medical care.
They offer different services to the people who are refugees around the world, as well as to help people who are affected during the war. They provide medical assistance with effective drugs to relieve their pain. Doctors Without Borders can be found in areas lacking medical assistance, as well as in those experiencing disease outbreaks.
Additionally, they also take care of children who are unhealthy due to malnutrition and contaminated water. In Nigeria, for instance, they offer medical assistance to the victims of Boko Haram who face health challenges. Similarly, they also collaborate with local foundations to provide medical assistance outside Borno state.
Yes, I would do it to help save lives. To me, this is good work where you would gain a lot of experience working with medical personnel. These people we are talking about suffer a lot due to various health conditions, so we need to understand what they are feeling. Through collaborative efforts, help may come their way.
I studied social work at a Nigerian university, so this would serve as an opportunity to assist them because many may experience post-traumatic stress disorder due to the loss of their loved ones. Working with Doctors Without Borders can promote quality healthcare for the victims of natural disasters and conflicts occurring in their region.
The malnutrition crisis that occurs in the affected area can be supported by philanthropists who are capable of feeding a large population. Services offered to this group must be effective to the extent that the victims would appreciate what you do for them. The donation of materials, especially medical equipment, must be free and fair so that everyone can benefit from it.
Our position must stand firm in helping the victims with the intention of not expecting anything in exchange. Services given to the children must be accurate based on the information we receive within the community so that they can live a healthy and meaningful lifestyle. As ordinary people, we need to provide them with anything they request for the benefit of all the people affected in one way or another.
I would like to invite @ninapenda, @okere-blessing and @impersonal to join me in this contest.
