River Water Overflow

Hello Everyone.... Today I will share a story about a river in my village whose water is overflowing due to high rainfall.

Indonesia is a country that has a tropical climate. And have high rainfall.
I live in a village located in village Raya, Delima District, Pidie District, Aceh Province, Indonesia. Recently, the rain has hit my area, but it has not caused the river water in my village to overflow, covering the rice fields of local residents.

In the last few days it has been raining a lot, but the rain that last night flushed my area and its surroundings was very heavy and was accompanied by a loud roar. The rain lasted a very long time, from 9pm to morning without stopping.

At 7 o'clock in the morning, I headed to the rice fields to see my mother's rice fields, which were reportedly flooded.

The distance between my house and the rice fields is about 900 meters. And I decided to walk not using a motorbike. And on the way I met children who were also looking at the flooded rice fields.

I kept walking and getting closer to the rice fields, the water flowing on the road got stronger and I decided to take off my two sandals so that they didn't slip.

On my left is a river whose water is overflowing and flowing into the rice fields on the right.

Through the bushes I saw a snail that was saving itself from the flowing water.

Also a swarm of ants swarming on the sidewalk posts of the bridge to avoid the water. I think a lot of small animals have died as a result of this natural disaster.

After arriving at the rice fields, I felt very sad seeing that sight. Why not, I am my mother and the rice fields belonging to local residents are filled with water which is approximately 1 meter high.

The water that is digging in the mapped is very, very heavy, and hopefully the rice seeds that have only been planted for several weeks are not released because they are carried away by the current.

I saw Rais, a small child who was trying to clean up the wood waste that was washed away because of the current and stuck to the drainage irrigation fence.

There were some children bathing in the irrigation canal in the middle of the rice field.

They only bathe on the sidewalks of irrigation buildings and do not step into the rice fields.

In my village, only a few houses were flooded, but several villages next to many residents' houses were flooded and even water got into the house.
As of this afternoon, the water has not subsided and there are two container cars delivering aid from the central government.

This is my first post about Geography and I gave the results of this post to my mother to buy rice fertilizer, so that it was cured of flooded rice.
