Hello my dear Steemians,
When I was a child and visited my grandparents regular. My grandfather had few horses and also really loved them. Every free moment, he was in a barn. When I was there for summer time my grandpa was happy because I took a lot of work around the horses. I loved to wake up very early approximately 6AM, my grandpa already prepared the breakfast and we both were heading to our horses. My one was the white, maybe as every girl I liked a white horse and called it angel. Angel was very young approximately 2 years old and my grandpa taught him very good manner. He was very gentle and always listened to everything that grandpa said. Angel knew that in the morning we were coming to feed the horses and he always was looking towards the door. Once we were in barn we could hear how he sounded very happy and started to become inpatient.
My role was to spread hay and water and once the horses were fed we were taking them outside to the field, just to enjoy sun and fresh air. My grandpa had to finish milking the cows and only after that he was ready for the horses to clean their fur, my favourite job was to comb the long hair and also the tail of Angel.
I used a thick bristle brush and also often first I sprayed water and then were brushing, Angel was patiently staying and I believe really enjoying the while the whole time getting the beauty treatment from me. At the end if he was good and did not cause any trouble, he received an apple from me. My grandpa was not really keen me to feed the horse with apples but he pretended that he did not see and it was a little secret between myself and my horse Angel.
