SLC S24W6: Portraits
Drawing things make them seem more real and it makes me feel more alive, I think I have discovered my missing talent...
Starting the first week was a challenge for me. I kept wondering how to do it better, now I know that perfection can only come when consistency is still in place. This week, I gave it a shot and I am happy that at least I tried...
So starting my drawing I chose to draw a simple lady. First, I drew a straight line and two intersection lines, then I made an oval in-between those lines to create the face structure.
I went ahead to draw the lips using those intersected lines, then I drew the eyes. The eyes were a bit challenging for me, I had to make the curve over and over again before I got it. I had the eye ball fixed and the lashes too. Then I drew the eye brow to complete the face structure. And finally, I drew the nose and some part of the falling hair.
It's shading time! I started with the eyes, giving the eye ball a dark and little light shade look so adorable and then I went ahead to shade the hair, the nose and the side parts to give it a real look. I shaded part of the eyes and then the lips to achieve a good proportion of the drawing.
Shading the hair was the last thing I did by giving some part a light shade and some part a dark shade. The ear was also shaded partially to get the look and the eye brow was shaded with some parts dark and light. I lightly shaded the face and the neck to finish my work.
Lastly, I took a selfie with my drawing, adding the date and my username just as instructed by the teacher.

Observaciones y recomendaciones:
En el arte del dibujo la práctica es lo que hace la perfección y esta semana nos traes un buen resultado. Realizaste un boceto el cual te permitió obtener las proporciones y formas correctas en tu retrato.
Respecto al sombreado, lograste oscurecer algunas zonas y ofrecerle realismo a tu dibujo; como recomendación te sugiero que busques que ambos ojos sean del mismo tamaño, pues se puede apreciar una pequeña desproporcion así como también no marcar tanto los párpados y en su lugar crear un sombreado en esta zona; pero en general fue un buen trabajo.
